Tucked away next to a Best Western Hotel, Marie-Luce has climbed to the top of the culinary scene in Noumea and offers New Caledonian specialities to a diverse clientele, foreigners as well as locals. She excels in the preparation of many different cuisines such as Montmartroise salad from France, T-bone steak from Australia, chicken brochette from Greece, lamb tajine from... More

We called into Noumea while on board the P&O liner Jewel Princess. While out exploring, and there wasn't too much to see, we came across The Best cafe which advertised free Wifi. We ordered 2 ham and cheese toasted sandwiches and 2 cokes. at a staggering $43 AUS. The Wifi was very very weak. Even checking emails was so slow.... More

We visited The Best Cafe most days during our stay in Noumea. The service here is excellent and they truly have the Best Hamburgs in Noumea. The Cafe is clean and tidy, the service is fast and friendly and the staff are very helpful to those of us struggling with our French! If you come to Noumea, you must come... More

...while your buddies gets a tattoo around the corner! Friendly service and a nice open terrace overlooking Rue de Sevastopol. It might not be the most beautiful sight in Noumea, but central and handy when you have to wait for friends and don't want to go too far away.

We visited this cafe purely for the free wifi. The staff were very pleasant and happily gave us the password even though we only purchased drinks.

We went to this cafe to use the free wifi. We ordered drinks and asked for the password. The waitress mumbled it to us and walked off. I had to go to the counter where she scribbled it on a piece of paper and shoved it toward me. Even with correct password the wifi was not working. The waitress saw... More

We ordered a cappuccino and two crepes that worked out to be $30 Aus. We were shocked when we worked this out later on. Although it was yummy, I think it was a big rip off as it was nothing out of this world. The staff weren't that friendly and welcoming. There is free wifi though which is a great... More

We stopped here for a 15 minute breakfast on the way to the airport. The cafe is nothing special looks wise but their Croc Monsieur was delicious. As with most places in New Caledonia, it's very expensive for what it is.

Nice smiling local staff , welcomes you in the Noumea city downtown. Good food, and friendly atmosphere , at reasonnable price. Open late. The right place for a refreshment or coffee, or a quick meal when visiting the city center. Ask for Ana, the kind manage, for assistance about the dishes. (Sauce cooked shrimps recommended)
