came for dinner, party of 8. Service prompt and friendly, and all meals came out together. Our waitress spoke reasonable English and was happy to translate the French menu on the blackboards. Offered a choice of 6 mains and 4 desserts (no starters). Mains were 2,500-2,800F each, desserts 1,100F. The food was fresh and flavoursome, portion sizes very generous. Not... More

So, I'm going to join the throngs of people singing the praises of Au P'tit Cafe, just to set the tone - I'd read about this place in my research into Noumea, and given its restricted opening hours, and popularity I made a booking well ahead of time via email and received confirmation back. Unfortunately upon arrival there appeared to... More

Au petit cafe was among the best dining experiences of our trip. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting Noumea. The food is incredibly fresh and well presented. The staff are professional, efficient and friendly. It is off of the tourist strip so you will need to book a taxi. It is very popular, so it would pay to book... More

My husband and I went here for a meal to celebrate our anniversary. The ambience was great and the food absolutely delicious. Waiting staff friendly and professional. At 10,000 new Caledonian francs including a bottle of wine and dessert it was not cheap but this was a special occasion and definitely worth it - up there with some of the... More

Of all our dining experiences during our week's stay in Noumea Au P'tit Cafe was the best. The menu was interesting, food fresh, service good and price comparable to restaurants in Melbourne.

Make sure you book in to secure a table - restaurant opens at 7pm. You will be shown a blackboard with 4 main and 4 dessert options. The menu changes every day with the exception of their signature cheesecake which was exquisite. There's only one person who speaks any English but we could translate most of the ingredients. Everything was... More

Staff were friendly and did speak English (unlike some previous TA comments). Outdoor seating was lovely on a warm night. Weekly menu of 4 choices including 4 desserts, different to usual fare at home. Lamb was really nice, fish a bit rubbery - bread was wonderful! Compared to other Noumea restaurants this was definitely more affordable. Limited operating days, so... More

It's small, it's busy, it's hard to get a table. Every time, a new menu: it's small, like 3-4 mains but man, is it hard to choose. The tuna tartare was exquisite and beautifully presented, the salade fresh and absolutely wonderful. And to finish off: the classic Passionfruit cheesecake. Friendly staff, efficient service, this is a perfect place for lunch.
