An oasis in the midst of bustling activities.
One week ago my friend. Sylvia. took me to Lunch at Aagnam Restaurant to celebrate my 93rd birthday.. it was my first visit. It was also a memorable experience. On entering I was immediately impressed by the warm and welcoming reception by the General Manager Mr. Jagdeep Singh and Chef Bhuďharam and the courteous and efficient service of the workers who took us to our table mmaking sure we were comfortably seated. The venue is cosy and the atmosphere relaxing-- family-like.
The meal eas excellent and lwe were able to ectract some of the culinary mixtures that went into the exotic menus.At the end of the meal the Management graciouly played the Birthday Song and wished mebirthday blessings accompanied by the delicat Jalebi dessert. which I thoroughly enjoyed. I appreciated the friendly family conversations with the Staff and Management and would treasure the photographs taken to remind me of this happy occasion in a safe and comfortable
Environment. Thank you Aagman Rest!:

The entire Family Medicine Residency Program, consisting of about 25 residents and faculty, enjoyed a wonderful dinner here recently one evening.
The food was delicious, especially the crispy Bhindi Kurkuri, the Baighan Bharta, the spicy Rajasthani Laal Maas, and the the Dun Pukht Biriyani, along with the scrumptious garlic naan!
We arranged our order prior to arriving, and the service was quick, efficient, and pleasant.
Later the chef came out to check on us and we got a chance to tell him how much we enjoyed the food he had prepared for us.
Aagman’s is a wonderful place to have a get together - terrific food, great service, lovely ambience, excellent value, and overall, a wonderful experience!

I went to the restaurant with high expectations and I can say that Aagman is an excellent restaurant. Indian cuisine never goes unnoticed. Many are fascinated by it and others are apprehensive about it because of the immense variety of unfamiliar flavours it offers. And if to this we add the painstaking presence of spiciness in various gradations, the inexperienced diner then has several challenges to face.
Advised by an attentive Maitre d', we set off on our adventure. A delicious, watery and glorious dish of skinless lentils surprised us all. From then on we were treated to a parade of dishes that amazed our western palates: shrimp, chicken, lamb and rice dishes of exultant flavours and fragrances that confirmed one after the other the wisdom of our decision. Going to Aagman was indeed a great decision. Finally we sought out the magnificent chef who with a saintly gaze and special simplicity received our most sincere and happy thanks.
As General MacArthur once said... We will be back!!!

First of all the food is nice, but it took 2 hours for our food. There was 21 of us we ordered separately, half of us had finished our meal, when the other half didn't even get starters. When the food came out, the mains came before the starters.
Some of the Indian retired players walked in and the waiters had gone rogue. There was 6 of them and 21 of us, yet they got there food before us (even though we had ordered first). 2 hours we waited for our food
I'd leave 1 star had the food not been as good as it was, but the service was poor

Food was fine, typical Indian if that's what you're looking for, though the servings were rather small. I make good Indian food at home, and it's virtually identical, and not difficult or expensive to make. The service was also fine, but nothing special. We were six people and shared five dishes, and the check came to $31,300 Guyanese Dollars, which comes to an outrageous US$26 per person, which is more than you pay for something similar in the USA. The only fancy drink anyone has was a simple rum and coke, there were three beers. I wouldn't recommend this place with prices like that.

Aagman Indian Restaurant is my favorite restaurant in Guyana; the food is fantastic and the best, plus the price is right. The service is unmatched compared to other restaurants in GT, it's simply the best. The servers are very professional, well-groomed, and always have a smile on their faces. Aagman Indian Restaurant offers the best experience be it for lunch or dinner, and all customers are treated with the same level of respect. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone planning to visit Guyana.

What a great place. We ordered chicken tikka masala, dahl, cucumber raita and garlic naan - everything was delicious. This was the best Indian food I had in a while - very tasty, but at the same time not heavy, oily or too spicy. The owner was very helpful and even helped us with luggage (the restaurant is on the second floor). This was the best meal we had during our stay in Georgetown.

Excellent food and superb service. Authentic indian food was delicious especially the desserts. Their chef came to our table and explained how to make this lovely dessert as we were enjoying it so much. The staff and the chef made our meal extra special with their warm and friendly service.

We had dinner at Aagman’s last night and what a marvelous experience it was. Our family of 6 are visiting from Barbados and London and hands down this was some of the best authentic Indian food we have had anywhere in the world! We were welcomed as soon as we stepped through the door and it turned into one of our very best evenings in Guyana. The service was first class with all the way. The food was hot, fresh and the flavours were to die for. Chef Bhuda actually came to our table to chat and tell us how to make the dessert Jalebi, which you have to try. Bhup, Jagdeep and Laxman offered world class service and drinks. If you are in Guyana, Aagman’s is a must. We can’t recommend this restaurant enough. Jagdeep and team, thank you for making this an awesome outstanding experience.

Aagman's gradually became our favorite restaurant. While we didn't give a review, we were forced to due to consistency. Bhupain always goes the extra mile to ensure we're satisfied and wowed with an even new taste. His colleagues, Laxman & Sandeep always goes above and beyond with their customer service. Our favorite remains the paneer in Tikka massala and tandoori chicken. Absolutely love it!

Wow! The food was delicious. To start we ordered dal tadka and for dinner we had the butter paneer and butter chicken with naan. For dessert we shared mango kulfi. Everything was scrumptious. The servers were kind, patient and welcoming. Chef Ram personally greeted us and thanked us for coming. Such a pleasure. Beautiful and serene atmosphere and dining experience. We took cute pictures too. 10/10 ⭐️

This was one of the best dining experiences we had while in Guyana. The food can compete with the best Indian cuisine I have had in the US and Canada. The decor was great, and the staff and chef were extremely welcoming and friendly. The rass malai was probably the best i’ve ever had, including being better than ones i’ve had in India.

I went to Aagman twice during my brief visit because it was so good I had to try more things on the menu! The restaurant is amazing from start to finish. Convenient location, stunning dining room, great service, and of course everything we ordered was almost too good to be true. I went with a large group and we ordered plenty of food for all to share. The tika appetizers and the naan are especially good and you can’t go wrong with a sweet pot of masala chai to end the meal. Definitely a spot to check out if you like authentic Indian food in Guyana.

Ate here on January 17, 2023 with my family and friends and the food was amazing. The ambience and food were perfectly spiced . The assortment of the bread basket was really really great , hot and very tasty along with all the curries and appetizers. Mango Lassi was quite pleasant.
Staff were wonderful with exceptional service. Definitely will be back on my next visit to Guyana.

If you want authentic Indian cuisine outside of India, then Aagman Indian Restaurant, Guyana is the place to go, Excellent soups, appetizers, Tandoori platters and caters for meat eaters, seafood preferences and vegetarians.
Great ambience which includes the background music, aroma and decor.
Magnificent owners that take great interest in the experience of their customers.
