We arrived around 11am on a Sunday and there was a bit of a wait. No wait list, so you just have to stand in line. It does go by fast through, so we may have waited about 30 minutes total. It was the only...restaurant in the area with a line, so I knew we had picked a good place. We were seated at a two-top and ordered coffee and food. They're known for their arepas and typical Colombian food, so we went with empanadas paisas and two arepas. I had the arepa de huevo and it was define. I think the empanadas were my favorite though. I think our bill came out to about $20 USD for the both of us, so the price is really right.More

Service was very good. Food was exceptionally fresh and tasty. I had the steamed sea bass wrapped in a banana leaf. For dessert I torta de almojabana with guava sauce. They use the local farmers to insure freshness and to help the community. Great place!!

Arrived on a Monday holiday for breakfast and the tables were full of reserved signs but they welcomed us inside. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely return.

We went for brunch. Very nice ambience. The service was friendly but I received my coffee and over 20 minutes later after reminding the servers twice, my husband got his (identical) coffee. I got the huevos rancheros, which were fine. Eggs cooked well, nice cheese,...loads of excellent fresh avocado on top. I've definitely had more flavorful versions of this dish but it was fine. We also had the fried eggs with bacon and sausage and potatoes, meh, not too impressed. And why would you serve that in a bowl? Odd. All in all it was okay, but I can't say I understand the hype.More

Everything about Abasto was fab! :) we love Usaquén and all the restaurants it has to offer, but you can't visit Usaquén without grabbing breakfast at Abasto! The food is predominantly Mexican influenced and so really scrumptious recipes, whilst all the food is organic! what...a find! :) I recommend the Huevos Rancheros, the homemade bread and the Chilaquiles - we tried the breakfast once on our trip and ended up going back the next 3 days for more breakfast! They also offered alternatives for those of us that have allergies (oat and almond milk substitutes as well as gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan options). It does get busy so make sure you get ahead of the crowds!More

Went to Abasto for lunch. Allowed plenty of time since friends had “pico y placa” (driving restrictions) and couldn’t drive their car after 3:00 pm. Two of us ordered a variety of appetizers. Appetizers arrived in a timely manner and were delicious. Ratatouille that came...with the pulpo was wonderful. Loved the aji made with lulo that accompanied the empanadas paisas. Other appetizers were just as yummy. Natural juices we ordered were just a wonderful as the appetizers. Third friend ordered the “ojo de bife a la parrilla.” Long after two of us were done with the first round of appetizers, friend’s meat had not arrived at the table. Explained to our waitress that we had “pico y placa” and she placed a rush on the order. We also ordered a second round of appetizers while we waited for the beef. They were just as interesting and delicious. Beef finally arrived and it was good. However, by that time, friends were concerned about getting their car back home before 3:00 pm and an experience that could have been lovely turned into a rushed, unpleasant one. Disappointing.More

It used to be one of our favorite places, this one. My sis and I used to come here quite often. We once came for "onces", or afternoon tea, like the English woul say. We loved it. Then, we almost grew roots once we went...for Sunday brunch with our group of friends. The food was unbelievable, the service rather swift, and the fact that they let us BE...we loved that!!! Shortly before my sister underwent surgery for stomach cancer, and upon invitation from crazy aunt Patricia, who came from out of town to see her, we once more chose this place for brunch. It was one of those memorable moments that remain imprinted in your heart's memory after she transitioned from this world. The food as yummy as usual, the comfortable sitting, the ambiance as if you were in a locale in a small Colombian town...the friendly service...everything here just conspires to allow that one perfect moment in time. The memory is lasting and has not faded a bit. That was 5 years ago in october...I hasn't been able to go back...BUT! I visited their restaurant in Quinta Camacho and must say...they DO know how to kee the magic and replicate it. Thank you Abasto!More

Went to Abasto for Sunday lunch. Great vibe, good menu. However my husband’s lunch order never came. After sharing an app, we both ordered an item from their lunch special. I got mine promptly but my husband never got his. We kept asking and they...kept telling us that it would come. I couldn’t wait so I started on my order and went on to finish it and he still didn’t get his. 40 minutes later we thought we had was enough of a wait, so we told them to cancel his order, paid for what we got and left. It was terribly disappointing as I had read very good reviews about this place. My meal was delicious and the other meals that came out looked very appetizing too. Too bad they messed up our order. They might have gotten a great review.More

I had a great breakfast here with jugo de granadilla, a huge cup of fancy coffee with steamed milk, and torte de almojabana (a cake the restaurant is known for). My bill was around 25.000. It was 7:15am on a Monday morning so I was...the only patron in the restaurant. They let me stay as long as I liked and were patient as I tried to communicate in limited Spanish. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing last meal in Colombia!More

I like this place for breakfast. They make a very good bread and you can taste typical Colombian dishes as arepa de huevo, caldo, etc. Natural fruit juices are great and fresh, Coffee is also pretty good. Try to be there as soon as they...open since it gets crowded . On weekends after Abasto's very filling breakfast you can walk around the Usaquen market with many vendors.More
