We loved the experience. Great food and atmosphere. And friendly chef and staff. Make sure you pop in when in Bogota.

They don´t have a menu in paper. Only the said me the options and I choose between the entreés (we choose Jaiba crab cakes) and main dishes (Salmón and shirmp). Sea food is a good option in this place.

There was no sign indicating that place was the La Condesa Irina Lazaar and the door was locked. Inside, the tables were mostly occupied, but there was one for two. Then the chef came to welcome us asking to enter. There was no menu, but the sympathetic Edgardo quickly began describing the dish of the day. From the description, it... More

Great food prepared with love by the über friendly American. We had great salmon and prawns. Bit pricey for bogota standards, but for quality you pay. Bart from Belgium

We noticed from lonely planet that this restaurant was conveniently located very close to our hotel (hotel de la opera). First it seemed that the restaurant was closed, but the owner saw us peeking in. He said he just had a big group and didn't have the possibility to serve us lunch. I guess he saw our sad faces and... Hard to find (we couldn't find the name outside - luckily we knew the address). The American proprietor offers an unrivalled welcome and the food stacks up. Creative, tasty, well presented in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. Really very good indeed!

Food, service and atmosphere --10 stars. Owner, an American from San Diego, very attentive. Price, a bit on the higher side, but sometimes places like this are worth paying more. This restaurant attracts politicians from the nearby Congress but the day we dined there, we saw families and others. Would return and recommend this to others.

It was one of my last days in town and I was strolling in La Candelaria for a good restaurant, looking after one of Lonely Planet´s advices. Thus I decided for Anderson´s, whose name changed for La Condesa Irina Lazaar. The place is so discreet that I lost it the first time passed by, looking for nº 19, close to... More

This is a small restaurant in the beautiful old Candelaria district near the government buildings and university, so there is an interesting mix of clientele, both elegant and extremely casual. The food is eclectic but from scratch. The cozy and friendly tone is set by his charming Colombian wife who attentively takes care of the room and makes sure nothing... More
