Must have caught this place on a bad night, but main course Lamb Korma absolutly terrible. No flavour and not a korma at all. Entrees of satay and samosa ok but rest of meal could not be eaten. What a dissapointment.

Love this restaurant! Delicious Aisian food, a really cool ambience, good service and the owner Alex is a top guy always happy to help you out with tips on what to do in Bolivia. He has a tour company too so ask him for whatever you need. Best meal I had in Bolivia.

We were impressed with the romantic design of the restaurant, but especially liked the diverse Asian food ( Excellent Pad Tai ) special juices and the far-east flavors in general is hard to find in Bolivia. Tip: Their hot dishes are very spicy but you can accommodate by personal tastehighly. Bon Appetit

We weren't sure whether the restaurant would have authentic Asian food given previous experiences in other restaurants in La Paz. But this place blew us away. We had a vegetarian peanut satay main to share and Tofu skewers (which we cooked ourselves on a mini BBQ). The food was fresh, authentic and enough for two. More importantly it was DELICIOUS!!!... There are too few places in La Paz that do amazing Asian cuisine. Its close to the tourist area and worth the 15bs cab ride. The restaurant has two levels each with a different atmosphere, The lower lever is open and light with a gas heater for the colder nights, The upper floor is cosy and intimate, great decor, sitting... Relaxed restaurant with a menu covering several different Asian styles of cooking. ate there four times in a few days in and around La Paz. While nothing was stand-out (except maybe the veggie samosas), and several were unauthentic, they were all well made and flavourful.

Maphrao On is close to the Sopocachi neighborhood in La Paz. It's located in a very interesting Asian style house. The menu features Thai, Chinese, Malaysian, and Indian dishes, and they have many good vegetarian selections. Prices are good for La Paz upper end restaurants and dishes are very ample.

We arrived in La Paz and were hungry for a late lunch. Maphrao On hit the spot! It was a short walk from our hotel. They had a lot of great Thai, Indian and Asian options. It was a nice change of pace after eating Peruvian for weeks. The meals were well flavored and plentiful. Service was great and helpful.... More

Only a couple of blocks from our hotel (Stannum) and behind the big supermarket, but get precise directions otherwise you'll be wandering around the steep back streets asking directions from people who've never heard of it, and finally arriving exhausted as we did (having just arrived from sea-level Iquique). A cosy, rustic exterior, soft music, candles, quite romantic. Garlic bread... More
