The dining room is quite elegant and up-market. The food is Bolivian with a modern twist. I had a most elegantly presented llama tenderloin, which was very good, with a large amount of meat. The quinoa cheesecake other people rave about seemed to be nothing special. The main problem is that we had comically bad service from a trainee waiter.... More

Part of the Rosario hotel. Food well presented and generous. Prompt and attentive service. A variety of local and international food.

Tambo Colonial is the restaurant of hotel Rosario. Clean and comfortable restaurant, linen tablecloths and napkins, good staff (but little English) and above all : good food. English menu available. Our dinner : 2x antiplano soup (delicious), 2x lamb slowly cooked to perfection, 2 wa-ters : 260Bs (35€) … not cheap according to bolivian standards but more than ac-ceptable for... More

Wow, what a superb alpaca dish which had real bite and was well presented and tasty. Service was reasonable as was the value. Good ambiance and had I been staying longer in La Paz I would have gone again it was that good. Go and be wowed.

We had no expectations coming to La Paz for fine dining, but this place totally took us by surprise. Over the course of a week we worked our way through the entire menu and were not let down by any dishes. The highlight for us was the tongue and the lamb. The different corn varieties also made for some delectable... More

First night in La Paz, due to attitude reaction, we decide to eat in, the restaurant only had us bug it took so long to serve soup, appetizer and finally main dish. Though the taste of food is not bad but too exhaust to wait for such long time!

The salads here are amazing. We tried both the Caesar and Thai salads and both were awesome. There isnt alot of variety but still a really nice meal. The waiters are very nice and you even get yum hot rolls with toppings at the start of your service for no charge. The desserts are really good also we tried nearly... More

Given that this is the only place in the hotel one can get food and drink it's opening hours are very limited. The menu is limited but we enjoyed some Bolivian wines. Food is OK but not outstanding. I get the feeling the restaurant is managed independently from the hotel. The hotel is well staffed with polite, friendly and enthusiastic... More

Ate a light dinner here on our first night in La Paz after arriving from Buenos Aires. The food was quite good, but nothing out of the ordinary. The Thai salad was good, chicken a little dry. The quinoa soup was a little bland. We split the pork dish, which I recommend. Service was a little slow, but they brought... More

We were staying in the attached hotel and this restaurant seemed a safe bet after a long day travelling from Buenos Aires. Decor is very nice and the waiter very friendly although he doesn't speak much English. There are English translations on the menu. Service for us was fine but we were early. There only appeared to be one waiter... More
