We had the daily menu, which the signs said was 33 bolivianos. The meat ball soup was 95% water and 3 tiny meat balls. The rest of the food was bellow par. When we went to pay the price had magically risen to 39 because we had both the salad and the soup. Nobody had told us anything, I think... More

The place is really nice and cozy, good attention and amazing food. There are many German pastries to choose from, and all of them are great. It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it.

I give it a 3.5/5 as pastries used to taste better. Their lunch offers the option of soup or salad. Main dish is ok. It is another place we chose to celebrate a birthday in the middle of the week.

Not the cheapest café you'll find, but it's priced at par with pretty much all the other cafés directed at tourists in La Paz. It's located in desirable Sopocachi, and offers pretty good service and great WIFI. I've been there twice, haven't had any set meals there but have enjoyed coffee and pastries both times. Worth a trip!

Passed there by chance and decided to take a dessert there after a dinner in Sopocachi. The maracujá tart and hot chocolate were just delicious!! They tasted so good that I went there again for a late breakfast another day. It's not really cheap (for Bolivia!!) but in my opinion - worth it if you like sweet treats.

Kuchen Stube or Pastelería Alemana, as we know it in La Paz, used to be the best coffee shop for good coffee and delicious pastries. Unfortunately tradition is not what holds, and there are now at least ten new coffee shops which offer better coffee brands and better food. The capuccino at Kuchen Stube is so light that it tastes... More

Service was occasionally a little slow but the cakes are so unbelievably tasty, it's worth the wait.

This little place has great european treats to accompany your coffee. Lunches are pretty good, but what makes this place for me are their little cakes and pies.

I am a picky eater who follows a gluten-fee, lactose free and vegeterian diet. I am very picky and demand the standards I am use to in the US. On a recent trip with my mom to Bolivia we dicovered this cute little place on our way to the supermarket. They have a fixed-price lunch menu which is posted outside... More

This is one of my go-to cafes in Plaza Avaroa area. It has a wide selection of delicious cakes, the coffee is tasty, and the wifi is pretty high quality! it's not usually as busy as some of the other nearby cafes, I've yet to try anything more than their breakfast food, but I'm content with their cakes and coffee!
