Found this place by coincidence, walking around the puerto. Did get put off by all those fancy places overlooming the puerto so went there. Great food and reasonable price, comfy terrace and chilled atmosphere!

We visited Olivia Resto for lunch. The food was fresh and the serves were generous. The service was good and we had a very enjoyable lunch with a jug of sangria.
A well located place, feels cozy, lemonade is really good, most salads are delicious except for the salmon salad (don’t order it since there is barely salmon inside) Staff are kind but don’t ask them too many questions as they are not very familiar with...the foodMore
About a week into my trip through Uruguay, I was exploring the beach town of Punta del Este and decided to try out Olivia Restó for lunch. I was surprised to see the prices on the menu were on par with fine dining establishments, but...was excited for a delicious meal. After reviewing the lunch menu, it was clear that this must also be the dinner menu as most of the plates were too heavy for lunch by the beach. I figured tacos are always a safe option for lunch and ordered the house specialty, Tacos Olivia. What I received was very surprising (see pics below). I would describe this single, large taco as more of a quesadilla. It was a gooey, heavy, mess that really could only be eaten with a fork and knife - not what I think of as a taco. It was a salmon and onion taco, but the ratio was all wrong with more onion than salmon. Worse yet, the salmon was totally overcooked and the onion was caramelized, turning what should have been a fresh bite of the ocean into an indulgent wintery dish. I should have realized I was in trouble when the waiter responded to my "Hola" in perfect English, "Welcome, are you here with the cruise?" Take the 5-10 minutes to walk a bit further down the strip from the dock that I unfortunately wandered to close to, there are much better and more affordable options available.More
Went for dinner with my family. Very good service, delicious tacos de camarones. Nice restaurant close to the port of Punta.
We frequented this eatery just a few days ago, and were delighted with a wonderful dinner. The meal options were plentiful for meat eaters and for those preferring a no meat option. Both were of high quality and great taste. The price was reasonable for...the location and for the cost of the items. The staff was wonderful and the location of the restaurant was fantastic, as it was very close to the main Rambla but cafe enough away for a little break from the Punta craziness. I would recommend trying it out- if an option arises.More
Great resto for meat eaters as well as vegetarians. We are vegetarians and had a wonderfully filling dinner. Very nice staff, attentive to detail, very nice atmosphere, nice location, right off of main street. Highly recommended.
located by the port with a great scene, the food and service are at the same standard. Great value, great experience overall
The food is okay, it has some good vegetarian options. The service is also quite good. But the best thing is the location, it has a nice view of the pier.
Open earlier than other places and no-frills casual. Service was attentive. Food was fine; we ordered the penne bolognese and the Caesar salad. The salad came with a pile of pancetta on top which yes, was in the menu, but was also a bit greasy....The pasta was as well. They have several wine-by-the-glass options and drinks, which is another plus and portions are enormous.More
Needed an early dinner and Olivia is one of the few places open all day. Service is friendly although a little slow. They try to accommodate for gluten free people like myself which is helpful. I had a chicken burger which was converted to grilled...chicken breast with cheese and a tomato y rucola salad with boniato chips. My husband ordered a salmon taco which he enjoyed and our son had Brotola fish with potatoesMore
Nice food, friendly service, good prices. Simple. I loved the restaurant. Taste the Clerico. Excellent!
Great experience! Very friendly staff and the food was high quality and tasty. I got the chicken cheese taco
Very good food! Great service ! Gnocci are great and chivitos too! Fresh food! Inside and outside seating!
We really enjoyed our dinner of chivito sandwiches, juices and beers. Reasonably priced and less uptight than others nearby. Very nice atmosphere and light. The service was exceptional, going above and beyond to accommodate gluten free request. We will come back.
