Second visit after a years break from Abu Dhabi. The Darbar didn’t disappoint. We had a selection of Arabic dishes accompanied by some wonderful breads. The food was appealing and tasted as good as it looked. The menu is extensive and is cooked to perfection....A friendly welcome from our host and waiter. 49dhs for two mains, hummus, mixed salad, breads, sauces and complimentary water. Great value.More

We’re looking for something spicy and “desi” found this great “local” restaurant with home made taste of food. Great food for the value of money. We will surely go there again as long as we are on holiday in Abu Dhabi

I had ordered parathas from Darbar Restaurant, they were so dry and heated in a microwave. I called them and told them instead of being apologetic the guy was continuously saying that there was no paratha maker or they were made fresh. They came and...collected it back without having the courtesy to serve fresh parathas.......this is not hospitality! !!!!More

Location This restaurant is located in the tourist club area. Among all the residential locality. Experience I often goes to this place, the food is good quality according to the values for money which we pay. Today around 2pm I was dining there and ordered...for a south indian set menu thali, I was served within 6 to 7 minutes after I ordered the food. The food which was served was cold when i asked the server that is this food supposed to served cold, he replied that all south indians they like the food like this. I understood him cz he was one of the down line server so i dint extended my words with him. Later I asked for some refill for rice and sambhar that was also served cold. This time some other server served me, I asked him do you serve the cold food, he looked and me and felt a bit embarrassed but coudnt answer my question. When I was paying I asked the manager that why do they serve the cold food, they said they cant keep the food hot as it contains curd so they cant keep on heating the food. This is Not the first restaurant I have been to. The kind of excuse this gentlemen gave me was worthless. And he also said they are serving like this since many years. My suggestion to the restaurant management And the owner, may be you are renowned today but initially when you have started this business what was your commitment, and today here you are. I can understand may be I am one of the few unsatisfied customers but my reason is valid, and its just the food should be served hot. There are many small cafetarias in the city who serve the same kind quick set menu and the food is served hot. But the restaurant like Darbar has this standard I dint expected. I ordered many time from the restaurant all the food they serve is good but this time i dined there which wasnt a worth experience. I hope my feed back will reach to the concerned people. Service It is good as per the money you pay for you meal. You can't expect much out of the staff apart from taking orders and serve the food on time and they are ok with that.More

The food tastes really good and the price is reasonably cheap. They have made cubicles, which gives more privacy while eating. Service was really fast. Highly recommended to eat here !

Quick in quick out. Exceptional service, very good food. Could do with enhanced Arabian menu as predominantly Indian with a very small Chinese and Arabian section. Ideal for takeaways as service is so swift. The star of the show was the bread selection. Great price...at AED 60 for two for a substantial order.More

We ordered special biriyani from their menu. It was of authentic taste. Serving time was very minimum. Very cordial staff.

Have seen the board but never visited... tried brunch kind of.. good south indian dishes (bcoz thats what we ordered).. Did lunch the next day..welcome drink was sad ( why tang - would prefer cold fresh juice any time ).. waiting time a bit high..but...ok kind of duration.. ordered ela (leaf) beef biriyani ..(my friend who ordered this told that its nothing so exceptional)it was not there ! First order for lunch and the non availability- a big turn off..came back to the traditional porotta-beef (writing this while waiting for the order) Will try again..lets see.. And yes..nicely designed menu 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻More

Darbar has been in Abu Dhabi Tourist Club for 15 years, so it is a must try for Indian, and now mixed cuisine (Chinese, Arab). The prices are affordable, the food is tasty, the place clean, and the staff friendly. Carpark can be a problem...later in the evening, but a place can be found if you are willing to walk a little. The vegetarian dishes are very tasty and not spicy (hot). A very enjoyable experience.More
