The Maharaja Indian Restaurant has mover some four years ago from their famous Abu Roumaneh location to the area in Damascus called the Mezzeh Western Villas.
We ate there with some close friends last night and had a totally enjoyable Northern Style Indian dinner.
We...found their new location is a bit smaller than their original location, but the food and service remain paramount!
We had a wide assortment of appetizers and main dishes in order to judge the quality and taste of their menu. All turned out to be very delicious and well-seasoned as we had expected!
You must try their Indian style Tomato Soup as it was quite good as well as their stuffed mushrooms. For our entrees we had two chicken dishes and I personally had the prawns.
They also served a large pot of mixed vegetable steamed rice which was extremely flavorsome and very tasty.
They gave us a nice dish of their famous coconut ice cream as a complementary desert.
All-in-all it was very reminiscent of their original restaurant, but this time it may have exceeded the taste and flair of from their first Damascus location.
You must try it as it is quite good.More
