We used to visit this old restaurant during the day for a lunch. This time we came for a dinner but the choice was very limited (just 3 meals) and the foods were dry, not containing enough meat. Arabic bread was not freshly prepared.
Had food at the michelin star rasoi the day before and i must say, the food here is better. Ate in the evening and they just had lamb kebab, chicken shish and lamb shish along with hummous. It all tasted superb. Wish i found this...More
Skipped my hotel breakfast and went to Haji down the road. I was not disappointed. Arrived at 08h00 and it was already quite full. Really enjoyed the cheese omelette and bread.
Place is located in small alley where banks & tables are placed for the guests. It's walking distance to Bab al Bahrain - beginning of the souq area. There's indoor seating available for families (sorry - didn't visit Haji earlier to bring the family ....More
We enjoyed our lunch here of curry, biryani, fresh salad and bread. Ample portions left us stuffed. Service was good and friendly. A great spot to people watch while you eat and chat. We were the only non-locals dining that afternoon. Don't rush, enjoy yourself....More
Authentic food with out any twist! You eat what the the eldest used to eat. Ask for Kohbz with cheese plus others you fancy and will not regret it.
The place is located in the middle of the Manama Sooq just behind BBK bank branch. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and has different menus for each.
It's terribly busy all the time, you have to wait in a crowded alley for a long time till you get empty seats, just to have egg or traditional breakfast! It's not appropriate for large groups at all
