An experience you cannot miss! Amazing owner, amazing staff and amazing food! This is not a restaurant but rather a cook and dine - so you will eat the food you cook. Must do!

This was one of the best things we did in Jordan. We love to try and understand how local dishes are made when we travel, and have had cookery lessons in several countries. It helps to also learn what certain flavours are - e.g. -...the 'lemon' flavour in the soup was not lemon but sumac . This cookery lesson was definitely the best we had done. Whereas other times we had watched someone else cook, and taken notes, this was very hands on, and my sons learned some good skills in onion chopping and garlic crushing, and the confidence to get in and season the food and prepare well. There is a great team at Beit Sitti, and although the owner was away we felt we had a really good cook, and good explanations of what was being made, and of course we got to eat the results which were delicious. It was great to be able to buy the spice mix that was being used, so that we can have a go at recreating the dishes, with the recipes being on their website.More

I ended up booking this last minute on a whim per the recommendation of my driver and I am SO glad I did. This was one of my favorite experiences during my trip in Jordan. I love cooking classes when I travel, but this one...was more local/authentic and unique. It is run by amazing woman in their grandmothers old house! I felt like I was invited into someones home. The food was beyond amazing and delicious and I left feeling so full in the best way possible. I HIGHLY recommend this experience if you're in Jordan.More

This was a very fun and warm experience. We cooked musakhan, mtabal, cucumber and yogurt salad and rice pudding, with the help of the staff and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend passing by here if you're looking for a non-touristy activity in Jordan

We went to Beit Sitti on our first night in Amman and it was a great introduction to Jordan. The women at Beit Sitti were so nice and friendly - just lovely to meet. The cooking class was great fun. Our party of 3 was...paired with another family of 4 - a nice sized group. The food was all delicious and we will definitely be trying the techniques and menus at home.More

My husband and I were really looking forward to this and it lived up to our expectations and more. We arrived at 12.30 greeted by Maria and Dina with smiles and a cold drink ( hilly walk) and we joined two other ladies for our...cooking experience. Before we began we enjoyed some traditional lentil soup with sumac to whet our appetites. Wafa was our teacher/ chef and she helped us cook a wonderful meal explaining procedures, herbs, spices and the traditions with great humour and expertise. Her passion for cooking oozes through. There was lots for us to do and get involved with.Wafa tweaked the recipes for our taste( amount of garlic and pepper) which was very considerate and was aware of allergies. After a couple of hours we sat on the large terrace and enjoyed the fruits of our labour, a delicious 3 course authentic Jordanian meal, in a very relaxed atmosphere. The portions were massive!! We were even given coffee and relaxed on the terrace talking until 4pm. If you enjoy cooking, meeting local people , eating delicious food then this is a must for you. Thank you to all the beit sitti team including the other Jordanian ladies who helped behind the scenes in preparation etc. Your business deserves to flourish.More

My husband and I joined a class of 12 others for a lovely evening on the terrace of a wonderful house with an amazing view of Amman. The class was a true education in Arabic ingredients, because each and every ingredient for all the dishes...were explained, and we were allowed to taste each and every one. There was a fun and relaxed atmosphere throughout the evening and everyone had an opportunity to participate in the preparation of each component of the meal before sitting down and enjoying it. My only thought was that there should have been a written copy of each recipe given out before the class, so students could have made anecdotal notes during the class. BTW, you can bring your own wine to enjoy during dinner.More

They cancelled booking with less than 24 hours notice as too few people- offferec private session at double the cost. rebooked to a session with over 30 people, 2 huge groups inhibiting learning and enjoyment, far too large. Despite several prior written assurances that NO...nuts would be used due to life threatening reaction - and reminders to the two leaders on the night - nuts were sprinkled onto the food. No response to my email querying use of nuts, no apology for endangering life. Avoid - rather pricey and not worth the risk. Extremely concerned and disappointed. Shame on you Beit Sitti.More

We were lucky to have a private class with only the cook and Faisal (the facilitator) which was completed with a wonderful lunch on the rooftop terrace. The place really has something special about it, it’s hard to describe it :) Also, Faisal was super...accommodating and we felt like the best cooks in the world! Would love to come back one day and can’t wait to use our new ‘skills’ back home ;)More
