I went for dinner with some friends and even without reservation we luckily got a table on a hot summer night. The restaurant is in a nice ancient villa in Rainbow Street. The garden is amazing and also the interiors are worth a look. The...menu offers a wide range of Jordanian food. Service is a bit brisk because staff speak a very basic English, but they were all very kind. With hindsight, it was probably one of the best dinners we had during our stay in Jordan. I'd love to go back.More

A really lovely atmosphere, especially with the prayer call from next door that fills the gardens with the beautiful sounds. We ordered a range of dishes to share and it was huge portions, really delicious and great service. We had to get takeaway boxes!

Nice ambiance, great garden. The food was very good, very traditionally. A bit pricey due to the many tourists. But definitely a place to be recommended. Service was quite good !

Thankfully our Jordan friends recommended this restaurant and made a reservation (must have it seems). We tried Mnazalet beitinjnan for two. Portions are just a little small (for our standards), and therefore we advise to combine some mezza plus bread. Food was very tasty. We...also had arraq which basically is the Arab version of ouzo. Great location, romantic backyard patio on rainbow street.More

This is a gem of a restaurant on Rainbow Street. The terrace is beautiful and surrounded by deep pink bougainvillea. The food is incredible and the staff excellent. This was a truly memorable meal.

This is a good choice if you are looking for a genuine place and a traditional selection of Jordanian dishes. One of the few restaurants where you will find the type of food usually made and served at typical Jordanian houses. This makes it an...ideal place if you have foreign guests who ask to try local dishes. If you are going there on a summer night then make sure to reserve a table before you go and ask to be seated in the outdoor area. Nice ambience and a comfortable and reasonably spacious seating area. The staff is friendly and the service is prompt and you can ask for advice from the waiters on what and how many dishes to order. The food is light and rightly portioned so you will most probably have no or very little leftovers. If you wish to go for a light and tasty dessert then pick the pistachio ice cream. The place is easily accessed and has valet service. Expect to pay 25 JD per person.More

Food was average at best, but the service was terrible and the staff had this attitude as if they were doing us a favor. It all started when my asthmatic mother asked the waiter if shisha was allowed in our section, to which the waiter...jokingly replied, “yes, we can even serve you weed if you like”. That’s when I started having a strange feeling about how the rest of our dining experience was going to look like. -Thankfully that waiter with the bad sense of humor never came back to take the order. - After waiting for almost 20 minutes, I had to literally get up and go find another waiter. - The new waiter was much better. - Food arrived late and cold. - No one came back to check on us. - Our new waiter also disappeared. - I had to flag a random staff member to let them know that we finished. However, no one came to clean the table or to even offer us the dessert menu. - I finally managed to get the attention of another random staff member, who seemed naturally angry and disengaged and asked him to call the manager, to which he sarcastically and condescendingly replied in Arabic “The Manager!!!” - That’s when my family and I lost it and decided to leave. - So, I proceeded to the front desk and asked for the bill, but guess what? Yep, no one even paid attention to me, again! Long story short, I settled the bill and promised myself and my family to never return to this overrated and terrible joke of a “restaurant” called Sufra.More

Very good and traditional food, well served by the staff, ( with delicious hot break), in a charming old house very well decorated sourrounded with a magnificient garden. The prices are also quite reasonable (36 JOD for 2 people). definitely I will come back if...I return to Amman.More

Amazed. The serene restaurant is a perfect hide-away from the bustling streets of Amman. A true secret garden. The mezze type restaurant offers everything from delicious vegan eats, to meat dishes which we did not sample. One of the best tabboulehs i have had, flavourful...falafels. The aubergine salad was perfectly spiced. What stole the show was hummus fatet. Would recommend 10/10More
