We went with four kids in total and the staff was so nice and welcoming! Social distancing is well maintained and the food was delicious. It made our first trip to downtown Amman after six months beautiful. Thanks to all the staff in Jafra!
When you go in your are greeted by a smokey haze of shisha but once you settle down and have a look around you are fascinated by the overall ambience of the place. It is old world magic with touches of old world decor. The...food was delicious. The lamb and chicken tender and aromatic. The salads fresh. Service was excellent, discreet and fast. Highly Recommended !More
Absolutely love this little jewel of a restaurant in downtown Amman! Love the nostalgic feel and ambience. I was really surprised when we got seated and I saw all the old Iraqi currency and such behind the glass table top. I thought that was pretty...neat. We ordered stuffed grape leaves, tabbouleh, Salad, grilled chicken kabab and chicken liver and fries. My only complaint is that they did not put enough of it out. Portions are much smaller than we thought. Chicken kabab was dry. Nevertheless it was very delicious. I will definitely come again.More
After a stuffing trip to Hashem to have falafel, we ended up in Cafe Jafra randomly. We loved the decor of the place and the shisha as tried was great.
The views from the ledge overlooking the restaurant gives you a great vibe while you...sit on the first floor and enjoy the world move by.More
Jafra was recommended to us by our local guide for Lunch and it didnt disappoint us.
It's very spacious with option to sit by the window (it can get a little noisy). The walls are full of pictures showcasing the Jordanian history and culture.
The...food is excellent. Speak to the captain and allow him to recommend a dish based on your preference n like.
We had ordered the Hummus with meat and the Mutabbal. We enjoyed them both but it would have been better if it was accompanied with hot bread instead of the regular khub bread.
For the main course we had the shish taouk(chicken kebabs) and the meat pot. Both were sizeable portions and very tasty.
We enjoyed the place so much that we returned later in the evening for some lovely tea/coffee and sheeshaMore
I sat on the balcony. There were nargileh smokers, so if you don't feel comfortable, be aware.
I ordered a mixed grill which is chicken and beef with pita bread, and some salad. There is a complimentary bottle of water. Some staff speak English and...credit cards are accepted.More
We discovered this restaurant after 12 days of travelling in Jordan. It’s a busy local restaurant with barely any tourists and a lot of locals.
You will soon realise why this hidden gem is so busy...the food is the best we had eaten in Jordan....I would highly recommend the lamb cooked in the clay pot and the fatteh chicken.
There is live music and the service is excellent. This is a must try.More
We are regulars a Jafra restaurant, located in the old down town of Amman. The set up of the place takes you back to the 50's and 60's era. The food in good and tasty with a large variety of food from the Levant. The...staff are courteous and professional.Prices are reasonable. Must visit . Thank you Jafra .More
