Always had doubt about restaurants right in the middle of some popular attraction site, and this time I was wrong to think it would turn into a tourist trap. Really nice food, nice waiter(cute too), and great location.
It was Election Day in Israel, everyone is celebrating (and not working)
We went to Old Jaffa with friends to have lunch at The Old Man and the Sea, no luck, a very long queue. My friend suggested we go to St George. We never...More
St George offers Middle-Eastern food (such as Arabic salads, kebabs, skewers, etc.). You will be able to taste about every typical dish of the region. The restaurant is conveniently located on the Southern side of the Old City so can easily be reached when visiting...More
Everything was included, salads, tea and baklava for dessert. Everything was delicious, our party tried the calamari, shrimp, lamb, steak, fried shrimp, everyone was happy with what they ordered. The local families were there celebrating birthdays that included fireworks on the desserts. Great place just...More
Indeed, this is a restaurant with an authentic Middle East atmosphere, very busy. The service is prompt, but the waiters really want to show you that they are bored (of life, you, everybody). The food was good, but definitely we would try something else next...More
Jaffa's Saint George Cafe-Restaurant on 5 Louis Pasteur Street is definitely worth a stop. Offers authentic middle-eastern atmosphere, good food, reasonable prices, and its side-walk tables and friendly staff will invite you to relax, pause - and watch the busy pedestrians and groups passing by...More
Visiting with a traveller group from Finland. We had a grill dinner: first salad, then grilled chicken with rice, then small coffee and baklava. Friendly Service! For vegetarians they quickly served a special salad. Nice atmosphere.
Typical Jaffa area cuisine and the fish is awesome. Don’t fill yourself on the huge portion of salads. Service was great and not pushy like some of the other establishments in the area. Great time we had.
