Vegan menu with a Persian twist. My friends introduced me to this little gem in Tel Aviv. We set in the little garden at the back of the restaurant. What a feast! We devoured each dish that came to the table. As well as the yummy cocktails.

Even though I'm not a huge fan of vegan meals, I've visited Zakaim with an open mind (following reco of my friends). This was a very good decision!. The food is really good and the combination of different flavours can surprise. Even though I was sceptical about whole Vegan think, I have discovered that this food can be very tasty!... More

We shared six entrees and all were delicious and different. We sat in the patio out back which was quiet and pretty. The waitress was polite and attentive. The dessert truffles were the best I ever tasted.

*TL;DR* Delicious. Yet pricy... *Facts* Always make a reservation as it's crowded. We've ordered, the fucaccia, ricotta, tahini, cauliflower salad, fries, mushroom skewer and the chocolate mousse. We've also ordered a variety of cocktails. The price was ±150ILS per person. *Thoughts* We've been to Zakaim twice now and absolutely love the vibe of the place. The food is amazing and... More

Went for dinner. Staff was very friendly, atmosphere was nice. We took 2 main dishes: Cauliflower Gondi and a mix of mushrooms on potato puree – this was the alternative choice because they ran out of the beans and lentils dish. One drink: almond-dates nectar, was really nice. The food was simple simple simple. The cauliflower had no resemblance to... More

Normally I do not choose vegan restaurants as still attached to meat!! However my Airbnb host recommended Zakaim and accompanied me there. So thank you Yarden! This place is amazing and the food is Persian-based - it is truly worth making the effort to find this place! The atmosphere and interior is really cool and the drinks are something else!... More

This place was just amazing. We loved the food and the people! The space is very cosy and warm. We went here twice during our short stay in Tel Aviv. The focaccia looked like an old shoe (!) but tasted absolutely divine (actually the look was very nice but not very photogenic!) - my husband and I agreed it was... More

It's a vegan restaurant. I went to Zakaim with my spouse, as we were looking for vegetarian options. I had a groupon, so it was a good opportunity to try Zakaim out. There were lots of veggie (actual vegan) options, but the one that I must mention is the Fatush salad, which is usually tomatoes, cucumbers, bread pieces and feta... More

Fresh ingredients and delicious, unusual preparations, we had a great time. We tried a bunch of things on the menu and loved every one of them. Some we ordered seconds! No one thing in particular to recommend as all were great. And the vibe was very hip. I wish I could go back for dinner tonight! Alas, I'm now 6,000... More

Description
Opened by the two sisters and one brother of the Zakaim family in spring 2013. Offers fresh food inspired by the Iranian cousin and made from local and seasonal products. The restaurant, with the open kitchen and outdoors sitting, was built and designed almost entirely by the brothers themselves. It's an ecological space where all of the materials, dishes and furniture are secondhand. The menu updates frequently according to what the local market has to offer.
