Without exaggeration this is probably the best sandwich to ever cross these lips. The line at this TLV walk-up institution was the first indication that something special was happening here. Watching the ingredients being carefully layered into a delectable pita pocket (gluten free too) was like watching an artist at work. The perfectly fried but not greasy eggplant, hard boiled egg, and chopped salad topped with tahini and amba was the pinnacle of Israeli street food heaven. Thank you Tsernikovski for the experience. I wish I would have ordered two.

It was imperative I eat a sabich after my extensive research and planning of our Israel vacation. The place was crowded and you order from an outside counter. Each sandwich is individually made by the person taking your order. The sauces are important to add to get a full appreciation of all the flavors. There are no tables and just a couple of benches that fill up quickly. I think I would have enjoyed the sabich much more if I ate at a table and did not have to worry about the sabich spilling onto my lap. The cost ~$8 USD.

This is a tiny hole-in-the-wall place with a few tables outside on the street.
I'd never heard of sabich before visiting Tel Aviv, but I liked the sound of it: pita bread stuffed with a load of delicious stuff including fried aubergine, egg, salad, herbs and tahini. Sabich Tsernikovski was recommended to me and the sandwich I had there was a delicious explosion of flavours. Fabulous, and great value for NIS 28.

I saw this informal eatery on a travel programme prior to coming to Israel, so I had come here with an intent to eat!
This place offers tasty Sabich, a pitta filled with thin crispy aubergine, salad and tahini, with other variations and additions also available.
This is a hearty and enjoyable food that is easy to grab on the move, or to sit and enjoy in the informal outdoor seating.

If you haven't tried this restaurant, then you are absolutely missing out on a glorious experience. Sabich is an Iraqi Jewish sandwich that includes eggs, eggplant, salad, parsley, and tahini, and the combination of flavors and foods is utterly fantastic. The portions are big, but because the food is so healthy and light, you don't feel sluggish afterwards. This is great street food, and the prices reflect that. Don't be deterred by the lines - the food is absolutely worth the wait. The restaurant itself is tiny, so be prepared to enjoy your food elsewhere.

Just steps away from the Carmel Market in Tel Aviv, you might easily pass this inconspicuous place. But it's worth seeking out for delicious food. Wife and I had kebabs in pita. The wide variety of salads and toppings for the sandwiches were fresh and tasty. There is very limited seating, but you're going there for great Israeli fast food. Worth seeking out if you're anywhere near the market, or along Allenby Street.

If you are in the mood for a simply amazing sabich and don’t mind queuing then this is the place for you. If you want more instant gratification ( ie a short queue) then there is a cafe called sabich in Frishman Street which ain’t bad but I’d advise you to be patient and queue. It’s worth it. A meal in itself that oddly does not come with humus - but it doesn’t need it as it is very flavoursome.

I’ve never tasted anything like this sandwich before. It’s so delicious. Line moves quick so just get in line and order one regular with cheese and get everything on it. I will remember this sandwich in my heart for years to come

This was our first meal in Israel and we decided to bookend it with our final meal as well. Gluten free pita, upon request. Communal eating at two long tables. No frills, simple, fresh, and delicious.

The best Sabich in the city hands down. It was worth a wait of 15 mins due to the queue. The size is perfect for one person. The taste blast that happens with every bite is amazing. They have figured out the best combination that everyone from anywhere in the world would like. Highly recommended.

Let’s keep this simple, if you want sabich, you come here. Simply the best, to be enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. The men working here are artists and the Sabich has been consistently the best of years.

We arrived at Sabich Tchernichovsky today. We ordered two Sabich and two almond juices. Both were excellent. Both were filled with excellent fresh salads. Eggplant and hard boiled eggs. Recommended.

Some of the best street food in all of Israel. The Sabich sandwich here is expertly made and delicious. There are many layers of salad, eggplant and numerous sauces. Just an unbelievable sandwich!

A great vegetarian sandwich. Not a fancy place, but the sandwich is fantastic (with egg, but you can leave that out). For a great pita sabitch come here
