This high-end restaurant is located in one of the towers of the Tel Aviv business center, and normally there will be hordes of people milling around that place. On Saturday though, the area seemed deserted and we even managed to find parking at a nearby...underground parking lot. The restaurant itself, in spite of the relatively late hour for lunch, was completely full. Reservations are a must and you are allocated two hours from the time of reservation. The interior, for such a highly acclaimed restaurant, is pretty dull and congested, where a large bar is occupying a vast area, leaving cramped tables along the opposite side of the street, and very little room for the waiters to move around. The level of noise is high, and at no time one feels that he is having lunch in a relaxed atmosphere. The menu is not too extensive, and the business one, at INS 200 per person, is pretty basic. My wife opted for a cocktail (at about INS 60, roughly 75% of the average price of an appetizer, and I had a beer, again, at the normally outrageous price for that drink in Israel). We had a few starters, where the sashimi was excellent, but comprised of only 5 pieces, the fish tartar, with some peanuts on it, tasteless, and the thin-rib lamb - passable. My wife's gnocchi was ok- but not beyond. For dessert, we had very good ice cream and decent coffee. Service throughout has been exemplary, and "that place" was squeaky clean. In summary, only the service warranted full marks, the food being less than expected, but the real disappointment has been the overall experience- mainly due to the cramped surroundings and level of noise- definitely not of fine dining out.More

Food is great, but the service and atmosphere are ok. There’s equally good food and much better vibe to be found elsewhere in town.

They have an amazing bar staff and an even more amazing sommelier. They are great at helping you find the best shared dishes to enjoy and how to pair it with the right wine. It is a fun atmosphere. Crowded, but not too noisy. Delicious...choices for all tastes. It is pricey, but the results are great,More

The restaurant food is OK. Tasty. But the prices are extremely high and dishes are incredibly small. If you ask for this price I would expect to order 2 dishes in order to get fed but I felt like I needed 6-7 dishes to get...there which is a shame. We were 8 people ordered 6 starters and main dishes for each and each dish seemed to be smaller compared to the last one. Then we ordered 3 deserts which we couldn't share as everything was so small. Tasty food could be in larger scale. Specially in Israel.More

Starting with the focacia and ending with the dessert our meal was beautifully plated and served. We ordered a half bottle of white wine suggested by staff to accompany our menu choices which we enjoyed. I'll be back for more delicious food in this modern...restaurant.More

I came for dinner with a friend. the restaurant itself looks very good, the service is great and the food is amazing. But still, calculating value for money - as great as the food is - still not justifying such expensive prices. Probably the fact...that it is owned by a famous Israeli chef is probably the cause for the high price... Unfortunately, I will not return to this restaurantMore

Went for lunch. This is a modern restaurant in a busy commercial area. The property is well set up and the staff friendly and efficient. We had the two course business lunch and the food was very well presented and prepared. The chef managed a...very good innovative lemon sauce for the fish and the meal really was very good in all respects. We had interesting cocktails which tasted good even if they were a bit light on alcohol. This is a very good restaurant for a a business meal but I would guess it is not great for a relaxing ,romantic evening out unless the ambience changes during the evening. It is a place to go for a very good meal but it is expensive so avoid it if you are on a budget.More

Yaffo-Tel Aviv restaurant is good for business ot private gatherings. Things I like is the sofa and couches just outside for people waiting for their reservation and for smokers and the bartenders who were very helpful and accomodating. The girl in the reception should consider...cracking a smile occasionally. The menu features only 6 or so main dishes and an equal number of starters. Risoto, crab and octopus are three dishes that I would recommend. It was nice but not sure whether I would go again as it lies towards the pricy side.Weird is also the post covid procedure. You walk in with a mask, they take you to the table with the mask and then you sit down and take it off and other patrons are next to you also without their masks. It is just a show with no real health benefit.More

We had a great business lunch at the bar, starting with a surprising marrow bone on focaccia, a light and vegan antipasti first course, then a perfectly cut and cooked meat steack, highly mastered variety of sauces (to the level of a maître saucier), ending...on an exquisite revisited Crème Brulée aside hibiscus icecream and fine candy dentelle that could inspire the best parisian gastronomes. Red wine was French and fair.More

My husband and I went for lunch. We each had a cocktail of gin, aperol, and passion fruit with we both really enjoyed. We started with focaccia and tahini followed by shishbarak for me and the liver for him. As mains I took the gnocchi,...and he had beef tenderloin. I thought the gnocchi was better than the shishbarak. He enjoyed both of his dishes. We left the restaurant satisfied but not impressed. The food was tasty but not special. Overall we thought it wasn’t a great value.More
