Supposedly the best falafel in town and after a trip to the art museum we decided to stop by. The restaurant is easy to recognise as there is a queue of people outside of the restaurant impatiently waiting to order. Once you get to the front of the queue you have mere seconds to order and pay to keep everything moving so I’d recommend walking to the front of the queue to pick up an english menu while you wait your turn. The food itself is absolutely delicious and the best falafel I’ve had so far in Israel (and beyond). I’d suggest braving the queue (which moves fast) and going for it and you won’t be disappointed.

I am truly a falafel fanatic and have tried it in most place visited. My daughter previously visited Hakosem and told me that, if I do nothing else in Israel, have Hakosem falafel. I was afraid that she overhyped it but this was hardly the case. For my first visit, I ordered a half shawarma and a half falafel. The shawarma was excellent but the falafel blew my doors off. In the freshest pita, they included crispy falafel balls, humus, veggies and tahini. I ordered it spicy but it was not brutal. It was well presented, fresh, hot and completely delicious. I was shocked at how much better this falafel was above all others. I ate my dinner outside at clean tables and made new friends. Great food and great experience. I returned two nights later and ordered a while falafel. Loved it. If you want a real treat, add this place to your itinerary. Wow!

I don't know how they do it, but, their schwarma managed to be crispy, yet moist, and free of gristle. It's a lively place in a great neighborhood. I went with a small group. There was a line, of course, but, it went fast and we all enjoyed what we ordered.

Root service, a lot of rush, way too overrated and very expensive. Long queue and not worth the waiting time. In the area there are enough other falafel/swarma restaurants, way cheaper and much better customer service. The “magician” took our money but didn’t show any service or quality at all.

Another great recommendation from a local in Tel Aviv; had a quiet Sunday evening dinner here. Obviously well set-up for it’s popularity and custom; quite an industrial operation - and so delicious!! Had a gluten-free pita shawarma; it disappeared very quickly. Super cheap too

We came here for lunch after a recommendation for our hotel. It was delicious, in particular the hummus which was super creamy and delicious. I had a watermelon cocktail which was super strong. Would definitely come here again if in tel Aviv, especially for the price.

We had two pitas with shawarma and a side of falafel balls. The falafel was fresh from the oil and perfect. The shawarma was a mix of turkey and lamb and was just perfect and juicy. They even had a gluten free pita for me. Best falafel and shawarma we've had. Now back in the US, all will pale by comparison...

Despite being on the other side of town from my hotel, I came back here three times - including a special trip on the morning of my flight back home! I had received a lot of different falafel recommendations, but this was my favourite. Unbelievably delicious. There are a few different menu options you can choose, but I would certainly suggest starting with the classic falafel and pita. Be prepared to order quickly, especially during peak times. The queue can get long but it moves fast. There's a bit of seating just outside as well as some nearby benches.

This restaurant was recommended to us by Valentin of the Metropolitan Hotel in Tel Aviv. This an open air food restaurant where the Israelis eat. You order at a counter for takeout or sit at tables. Traditional food served by attentive staff. Everything is very clean and the food is great..

Holy sh** the shawarma was amazing! Beautifully seasoned, flavorful and tender. I ordered the shawarma plate and my friend ordered the schnitzel pita. I also heard that they make their hummus 9 times a day, so it’s super fresh. It tasted wonderful

Went twice. Had felafel in laffa once and shwarma laffa the second time. Both were outstanding. (Hakosem means magician, in Hebrew -- an appropriate name, as the guys who make this food are magicians). I guess I would not fly half way across the world for a felafel. But if you find yourself in TA, seek this place out.

Just in the city center, this place offers great opportunities for Israeli street food . We had great Falafel, Shuarma and Sabich. Everything was delicious. As people are walking in all the time, the food is fresh. The place itself is very clean. The prices are higher than other places with the same dishes.

I’ve travelled all around the world always looking for the best Shawarma. This is it! The best I’ve ever had. Period. 11/10 Get the Shawarma in a Laffa. Worth it. Once I had it I went back almost every day of my trip for more.

We went with funnily from abroad and found that nothing has changed. This very popular place knows it business very well. While waiting, falafel balls are offered and the wait is short. Helpings are more than plentiful of fresh falafel and quite an array of salads. Humus and tahina are tasty and fresh. Apart from the experience its the place to go to!

This place is simply the BEST! I don't mean that in a rhetorical way. Literally one of the best spots in Tel Aviv for falafel, shawarma and fried eggplant. The eggplant is the BIG sleeper. Consistent. consistent. consistent. I must have gone 3 times within a matter of weeks. Always fresh and always delicious. Another sleeper would be the the rice...forgot the name, but marvelous is flavor.
