Just a suckers trap...the chair almost cut my spouse fingers, limited menu, rude waiters and prices in the sky.

Directly located in a side street of the Carmel market, this restaurant is a must for fish and seafood lovers. Very wi d e choice of fish and seafood dishes. Well chosen wines which go fine with the fish dishes and good cafe and deserts to close the menu. To recommend without restrictions. If you do not have reserved, bring... More

I ate lunch at HaBasta and loved it. Between Nahalat Benyamin and the Carmel market. Not kosher, so I ate vegetarian and every dish our table had was fresh, flavorful and delicious.

At one stage Ottolenghi liked this restaurant which is why we went. We were very disappointed. We had a wobbly table and bad chairs which would be ok if the food would be good. It was not. There was nothing special apart from the price, it was extremely expensive. I consider this restaurant as one of my main disappointments ever... More

We ate at a lot of great places in Tel Aviv - Hotel Montefiore, Romano, Kitchen Market - but hands down HaBasta was our favorite meal. So good we had dinner and went back for brunch. It's adjacent to the Carmel Market. Totally chill atmosphere. Not touristy, felt like we were with locals. We ate at 10p and the place... More

I recently lived in an AirBnB for a few weeks on HaShomer street next to HaBasta, which became a delightful hangout throughout my time in Tel Aviv. I was alone for much of my trip and regularly dined at the bar. In addition to the food, the owner, Maoz, and his staff were incredibly welcoming and warm. Maoz gave me... More

Booked a table for 5 and got a confirmation. When we got there, there was no table reserved and eventually they squeezed us in the middle. After ordering the burgers and waiting for few min , we were told that they have only 2 left. Must add that we were also surprised by the prices which were very high. We... More

Located at the edge of the market on the pedestrian only street. Dishes are fresh, unique and above all heavenly. Prices are not cheap but it is definitely worth it. Plenty of vegetarian options as well as seafood and meet. Don't skip the desserts.

There are places people go to because the food is good but also because they like to be seen. At HaBasta one keeps wanting to return because the food is so, so good, you can never be disappointed. You also come back because it stops feeling like a restaurant at some point and feels more like you are eating at... More
