This cafe gets its points not so much for the food, which is yummy but not gourmet, just nice cafe food. But it has been a home for countless literary events, in more than just Hebrew. Cheers to the owner and cheers to all the writers and the poets, who make this charming cafe, overlooking a courtyard in the middle... More

We were very thirsty...maybe because of my cold..or our long plane trip....We requested several glasses of water..which were pleasantly served to us...which we appreciated so much...The food was absolutely delicious, nutritious, served beautifully and thoroughly enjoyed. We had a hot vegetable stew served with quinoa..Excellent...and restorative. The ambiance was an interesting mix..of art, and library..in a quaint setting. Very enjoyable... More

Having arrived here on a cold December evening barely able to feel my hands, the cosiness of Tmol Shilshom had me warmed up before I'd even gone near the drink that blew my mind that night. I ordered the Sahlab having never tried it before and can swear it took every ounce of restraint not to order a third after... More

We went for breakfast, the place was full, anyhow our food arrived at a reasonable period of time. It tasted delicious, super fresh, and they prepared it next to you.

Tmol Shilshom is both an interesting place (the guests being surrounded by bookshelves) and a great local restaurant with an exciting selection - both the Shakshuka and the Potato Kreplach were amazing, followed by very satisfying banana bread with jam - the best way to end a long (and starving) saturday in Jerusalem.

During my second stay in Israel, I decided to visit Tmol Shilshom again, to show my friend (who visted the first time) their great Shakshouka. The meals were like always very good, though I missed "Moti" the waiter I still have in mind due to his friendliness the last time I visited. All in all, a very charming, relaxing and... More

This cafe came with great reviews so we thought we'd give it a go. The food was pleasant, the ambience nice and the Staff friendly and helpful. The food was nice but I don't think worthy of the acclaim. Not at all bad, just nice. The atmosphere was great but it started to get very noisy so we took out... More

We dined here one morning. Don't miss this place if you are in Jerusalem. The atmosphere is wonderful, very peaceful. The food is DELICIOUS. All sorts of fun Israeli treats. We ordered way too much food and still finished everything!
