Pinati is definitely my favorite place to eat in Jerusalem. The Kubbeh soup, an Iraqi dish that was a specialty of the Jews in Kurdistan (Mosul and Arbil) is phenomenal. My friend Steve introduced me to this soup and I am now addicted to it. The Kubbeh is a meat dumpling that looks like a kreplach and is made out... More

The food here is so delicious and is served super quick. This is not a sit down dinner restaurant but if you're happy for flexible seating then you're in for a treat. I didn't visit for 10 years and then showed up with a husband and 3 kids and they still remembered me! My kids loved the food too (even... More

I visit Israel about every 3-5 years, and Pinati is my go to place for the best Hummus. It is located in central Jerusalem and makes for a great pit stop before or after you head to the Old City which is a short tram away. There is only one other place that rivals Pinati hummus, and that is Cafe... More

I visited this little hummus shack based on these reviews as well as Lonely Planet. I had soup and hummus with meat. It as pretty good, but the owner kept hovering as I was paying them pointed out to leave a tip before I even put money down. Will not go back- food not worth the pushy attitude.

I visited pinati twice during my trip. Once you've had the moussaka, all other food in Jerusalem is bland. Each time I was greeted warmly, and offered some kind of additional menu item at no extra cost, and I was remembered on my second visit, despite almost a week between visits. Cheap, tasty, quick service and great staff. Definitely worth... More

This is the perfect place for an Israeli feast! The moussaka, hummus, kibbeh and rice are highly recommended. And excellent service with a smile!

Only 8 tables in the restaurant. Not a place to linger for hours. but the food was delicious, fresh, very generous portions. We all had schnitzel and chips, some salads and pita. Prices very reasonable, Quick service.

There are a number of good hummus places in Jerusalem. To be great, you must stand out, really make an impression. Pinati makes that grade with excellent hummus, soups, fellafal, etc. Service is good and the location is central, easy to get to. Don't take my word for it. Give it a try. You will be happy you did.

Pinati is centrally located in Jerusalem. The service is fast and friendly. The food is excellent. The restaurant is small, but it is worth the wait. The hummus is excellent as are the pickles and eggplant.
