We stopped in on a weekday around 8:30. It was pretty empty but the few people there struck up conversation with us right away, and were extremely friendly. Crowd filled in pretty quickly before the music started at 9pm. Good drinks, reasonable prices, no cover and very talented musicians. Would definitely return!

This place looks like it's out of business if you were to walk past it during the day. However, as evening comes and it's opened up, it's a nice and cozy bar with live music. There is no cover charge and the variety of bands is diverse. We went while a jazz jam session was taking place with stand up... More

Was here last Tuesday. The place was kind of empty. Was it just not the right day of the week? Or the weather? Or is it because the locals indeed don't know about it (as jbrandt before me has noted)? I got a coupon (burger+beer) so I had a burger, which turned out to be a double burger, and which... More

We asked a dozen Jerusalemites about Birman...and got blank looks. How they could not know about this treasure in their midst is baffling. We had two of our best evenings in Jerusalem dining and grooving at Birman. When we initially asked our waiter about the food he said..."it's food to drink beer with"...which made us think 'bar food'. Let me... More

Looking for a nice place for a drink and we happened upon Birmam's. Wow! Full bar, friendly, good service. And, live music. Piano, accordian, guitar, you name it. What a terrific way to unwind from a hard day of sightseeing.

My wife and I (over 50) spent an unforgettable night. First the concept of musical pub was very professional preformed. The owner pay attention to every small detail. Not only the music was very entertaining, the food and service was excellent. Must spare one night to enjoy this adventure.

Gotta love this restaurant/cafe. Lovely + lively live music with an accordion, flute, and guitar all jamming together! Loved the little chess tables on the side and the outdoor seating in the alley as well. The food isn't cheap but not too expensive either and super tasty. The chicken liver on toast, the veal sausages, and the apple pie were... More

We have spent the great evening in this bar. Wonderful piano player and incredible gipsy jazz. Special place with great barmen and kitchen. We would like to have the same bar nearby house!

This is a great place to come after Shabbat on a Saturday night and have a Jam. The musicians are friendly, the jazz is good, and for a traveling musician its a great place to meet people and have a play.
