Note the hours before going, the Austrian hospice is a wonderful respite off the Via Dolorosa. It is European style, order and pay at the counter and they bring to your table. Outside seating is lovely and for 5 shekels you can climb to the...More

In the centre of the old city is this wonderful calm oasis in the centre of the old city where you can eat, drink and rest in its beautiful gardens whilst touring Jerusalem. We thoroughly recommend it!

We wouldn’t have found this without our tour guide. Just a door on a street corner. But inside a beautiful building and gardens. We sat in the garden to eat. Food was excellent and high quality Austrian beer. Beautiful chapel inside. Well worth a visit.

Our hostel recommended the Austrian Hospice as the best view of Jerusalem -- and they were so right. It costs 5 NIS to access the roof, but it's definitely worth it. There's also a charming little cafe where you can have cakes, coffee, or beer...More
