Machneyuda was recommended by several friends. It was one of the most fun evenings I've ever had at a restaurant. It's a huge party plus the food was fantastic. We had salads and a huge steak. Be prepared - the music is VERY loud and...More

so this famous bistro is quite a wild card in Jerusalem, for starters it's really hard to find a table without booking in advance and once you do get a table it is not a typical restaurant atmosphere. As a matter of fact it feels...More

Machneyehuda during the day remains a huge fruit and vegetable market, just as it was 40 years ago. It's a great place to buy fresh and dried fruits, vegetables, spices, and bread. In the evening most of the produce stall shut down, and the cafes,...More

If you happen to visit Jerusalem, you can't miss this place. Colors, smell, sounds and taste all in one spot. This market offers heaps of restaurants, coffee shops, fresh juice, fruits and vegetables, Butcher Shops, Judaica shops and more. Great spot for lunch

Everything we ate was imaginatively presented, amply-portioned, and tasted great. It was an adventure trying to figure out the various ingredients, many unfamiliar to American foodies....More

Too many superlatives not worth waiting so much, the food was OK but not more than that. Too oily too much spices, though we had only first course and desert we ended with extremely heavy stomach feeling. We will not come back :{

We were there at dinner and it was very noisy....my 85 year old mother would have hated it. Maybe at lunch it's quieter?
