We had 7pm reservations. The server was not friendly and was in a real rush for us to order. We ordered a bottle of wine and she kept coming back to take our order. She told us that we had to finished by 9pm (2...hours). After a few minutes she had the hostess come to tell us that we had to place our order right away as we only have a table until 9. We placed our order and voila all of our food came out within 10-15 minutes. All of the food and not even spaced apart. I guess the food was ok, I honestly cannot even remember what we ordered because of the rush attempt to get us out of there. Needless to say after $220.00 US dollars we were finished with dinner at 8:20. Totally overated. Worst service in all of Israel. Do not come here if you don’t like feeling pressured to order and shove the food down your mouth.More

We loved our dinner here. We ordered the tasting menu and I’m not sure I’ve ever been so full before! Everything was just so delicious, from the perfectly cooked calamari, to the famous polenta and the most amazing chocolate sesame dessert. We were a bit...hurried because there was a booking after us but finished our wine outside. It’s a fun atmosphere (but if you are hard of hearing this may not be the restaurant for you!).More

It had been 5 years since our last visit. We knew what to expect with the music and the party atmosphere, no problem. The five of us chose the tasting menu after cocktails were ordered. Our server asked if there were any food allergies or...items we didn't care for. We told her what to avoid, which she did. The first few courses were very good, An awesome salad with grilled grapes and a filled dough dish that was superb. Raw fish crostini followed and then a bump in the road. Maybe it was our American palate, but the fish egg dish was just plain weird. I tried a couple of times to like it, but we all had to pass on that one. Thankfully, several other excellent dishes followed including sea bream with shrimp and their signature mushroom/truffle polenta, which is to die for. The perfectly cooked and tender steak platter (3 different cuts) and dessert extravaganza finished an outstanding meal. This is a dining experience like no other. It is also not for the faint of heart!More

Great food, ordered tasting menu. Only problem is that this restaurant identifies as a disco. Music to loud to have a good conversation.

The most popular market in Israel located in Jerusalem. Open from Sunday to Friday. Some restaurants and bars open on Saturday after finish the Shabbat. Fruits, vegetables, meat, and more are fresh and come all day. WC public. Easy access.

We had the tasting Menue which was good - but hard to enjoy when the atmosphere of the restaurant is party-like which also means hectic and noisy. Unfortunately, we remembered a waitress negatively, who was only partially responsive to us and acted naughty. After we...had tipped around 5% to a high endprice, we were also told by another waiter that it was customary (mandatory?) to tip more. For me, the overall package was not right. I wouldn’t come again.More

We had an absolutely delicious dinner at Machneyuda. The staff was really helpful and pointed out things they recommended. The food was excellent. In fact, we ordered more than we usually would have because we wanted to try as much as we could. Someone ordered...the special "jungle" dessert and that was quite a show. Great vibe right in the shuk.More

We don't visit Jerusalem that often so when we planned our trip this was the first place we booked. It was a good choice, no doubt about it. We had high expectations and it almost met them. Everything we ordered was very good except for...the prime rib, which was good by it self but it came with boring potato and muster sauce that was not very flattering to the meet. Basically I used other plates sauce and that upgraded the dish. Since the cost is quite high I would expect it to be nothing but perfect, that's the reason for the 4 stars. But still definitely highly recommended.More

Went to dinner here and service was good and attentive, drinks were well prepared. Fun little place with ok food. I thought it’d be more of a culinary experience but it just doesn’t really hit the mark on that. To be clear food was good,...not great or an unforgettable experience. Kinda once and done for me.More

The night scene at Mahneyehuda especially Thursday is unique. On one hand the market is still open for food shopping and on the other hand, pubs are opened with loud music and as locals prepare for the “Shabat”, tourists and visitors outside the city crowd...the place enjoying the music and the pubs as weekends arrive You literally shop for food while dancing your way in the market.More

When visiting the market Machne Yehuda during the day time, you will be able to buy anything from bagels to fresh vegetables in ludington spices and cheap shoes. It is crowded, colorful and smelly just as a market should be. Take the time to visit...the market during the night and you will have a different scene altogether. Young crowd from the universities and just people who enjoy the vibe. It is a fun place to go to. Eat, drink , talk.More

For years this restaurant consistently produced excellent dishes, a fun atmosphere, and some great chefs. Covid-19 couldn’t change all that. We had shared some great dishes such as the famous Polenta, excellent Calamari, but were disappointed with the meat skewer. It is served to table...too hot to handle, even the waitress couldn’t handle it and left us to try in a few minutes. We were told in advance that the skewer will feature Entrecôte beef instead of fillet. But the beef was not top quality and it was still priced the same 136 ILS (expensive for one skewer).More
