Lavan is situated inside the Jerusalem Cinemateque, opposite the old city walls. You can't really ask for better views when you sit next to a window. At night the walls are lit creating a gorgeous picture. The menu doesn't have many dishes to choose from and I like that. To me it says that the dishes that are served, are... More

The rest. located In the Jerusalem Cinematheque. If you didnt plane to watch a movie you will find the location not perfect. BUT: good Italian style food plus the great bonus - excellent old city view from the balcony.

We came at 11:30. We got the breakfast menu - lunch starts at noon. Out of the six items - they didn't have the 'Jerusalem breakfast' (how come it's similar to the other items on the Manu) neither the French toast (ran out of bread?), capersa salad and one more that I forget. We asked for the lunch menu, one... More

Had a family lunch at Lavan ,an Italian-style restaurant overlooking the Old City walls,Mt Zion and the Gehenna (Gai Ben Hinnom) valley. Service was efficient, food was tasty, there was a children's menu too. Tip: For easy access use elevator situated under footbridge at roadside(otherwise-the restaurant is way down the slope and there are too many stairs). Parking is available... More

Definitely sit on the patio and have a lovely view of the Old City at sunset. The service here was excellent, and the food was delicious. Good sides and starters and a delectable dip for the bread... wine was reasonably priced, too. Again, great servers. I was here with a large group, and they were patient, kind, attentive, and prompt... More

What's not to like? Great food (and not the usual yada yada), a great view (of the old city), Friendly service (in English or Hebrew, and for those of us who don't observe Shabbat, it is open on Friday evenings. The menu was described as Italian, but that might only be because they have pasta on the menu. Try the... More

I'm trying to think what dish to recomand but truly all are great and prices are very reasoable. and anyway who cares about the food while seating in front of such a view! so reserve a table on...
