We we're a party of 8 friends. Service and attention was excellent. Items that we ordered we're tasty and well plated. Excellent atmosphere and music, most important could have a conversation since music was not dominant. Recommended

Very good and nice service. They accommodated our needs in many ways. Food is very good with nice variety. And the setting is nice especially if you get to seat on the balcony with view of the old city. Try to combine the meal there with a movie in the Cinematheque before or after and it will be a winner!... More

We were party of 3, the pizza was very good, the hamburger was also good, the best dish was the special of the day, it was kebabs with tahina. They have an excellent wine list. they had my favorite Israeli wine. Try Gamla Chardonnay, they have it in the menu.

After a nice evening walk in old city of Jerusalem we have chosen Lavan restaurant for a dinner. The location is very good with fine view of old Jerusalem and the Moon shining above the city. My starter - Salmon tartare with turmeric aioli was an symphony for the palate, followed be a great "fish of the day". We were... More

8 of us went and 7 had an amazing meal except the one that ordered a shrimp-based dish. Jerusalemites do not know seafood but do very well with land-based dishes.

The prices were very high comparing to what you get. The servies was good and fast. It bothered me that they gave us the desserts menu without even asking if we want it. The salmon was very nice (4 t/5)and the steak was ok (3/5). Menu is not very varied and plates not well presented (puece of meat with some... More

We had a wonderful weekend in Jerusalem in a hotel next to the old city. We wanted to enjoy a romantic dinner and Lavan absolutely gave us what we were looking for. The food was great and the location is wonderful. They even gave us personal attention by spoiling us with free dessert after we made the reservation to celebrate... More

Lavan Cinematheque is a hidden gem in Jerusalem - one of my lunch favorites. Excellent food and relaxing laid back atmosphere in a city filled with chaos. I had the Papparadelle Short Ribs - excellent dish. Great view of Jerusalem and a nice break from the outside environment!
