Popped in for a quick lunch. Very friendly service and utterly delicious lentil soup, freshly prepared. Also wonderful lemon and mint drink. Locals and tourists alike seem to eat here.
A great advert for Palestinian hospitality.
We loved the food and the service was very warm and welcoming. My husband enjoyed the flavors in the musakhan (round bread topped with a chicken thigh/leg and fragrant spices). I enjoyed a dish with rice, tender lamb, and a light yellow sauce. Our friends...enjoyed the same dish as mine but with chicken thigh/leg. Three of us tried a hookah (shisha?) which all enjoyed. Great atmosphere with locals and their children.More
After your visit in the church of nativity you have to order falafel. The best falafel I ever had. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is located near the church of nativity in Bethlehem. Prices even very good.
Delicious food, great location, everyone who works there are really nice. The owner of the restaurant is kind and welcomed.
There is an absolutely delicious chicken breast on the menu which was marinated by the owner. I don’t know what kind of marinate he used but...it was vert tasty. You should try it if you ever at that restaurant.
Peace Centre restaurant and bar.
I visited this restaurant as part of a business trip to Bethlehem. I selected it as it has an incredible location on Manger Square, appeared to be well patronized by locals and families, and accepts credit cards. And free, unthrottled...wi-fi.
Food was pretty standard Palestinian fare. I washed down some spicy chicken wings and a mixed kebab grill with some Taybeh Draught while enjoying suitably fast internet connection. Food was well prepared and good portion sizes. No complementary goodies like bread or water or olives that other places might offer.
All good until the bill arrived. Total for one person exceeded what I would pay at home for my family of 4. I don’t think that the value proposition of location, food, wi-fi justifies the price. You are better off 10m away at the iconic and delicious cellar-like Aftermaths. Carbohydrate dominant food, but incredibly tasty.More
I was served by a vrry kind and helpful gentlemsn named Osama who provided me with a delicious Arabic dish of spicy chicken and rice with pine nuts
He was helpful in finding me an excellent well priced hostel.
The white house wine was out...of this world made by Franciscan monks from Palestinian grapes.
Some local ladies and their children befriended me and we had a lovely evening together despite language differences.More
We were told to try it out and recommended Kahder to serve us. We received the menu and with so much great selection just asked him to surprise us. To our surpass three plates of chicken each one totally different in taste and accompanying side...dishes. AMAZING.More
