we stumbled upon this place by accident whilst looking for a cafe for a light lunch. Chose a couple of starters and a salad to share... cheese filled pastries and fried chicken... both excellent together with a beautiful fresh salad. Popular with local students so...a great vibe tooMore

It was a great place in case of its meals. We ordered mixed Pizza and it was really good in taste. It is a cozy place that you can enjoy its tranquil enviornment for chilling near Istiklal street.

Simdi is just the place if you like to drink coffee/dine in a very pleasant, civilized atmosphere without spending an arm and a leg. One can find less expensive options around, but Simdi delivers solid value for the money. Perfectly fine to come in and...just enjoy a coffee or a soda, or you can have a full meal. Nice big salads here as well. A tranquil, relaxing space with friendly service just steps from Istiklal.More

Simdi Cafe on Asmalimescit, at the end closer to Istiklal street is an excellent choice to meet friends and eat or drink something before a show or a film or just a chat. It is nice and comfortable with couches as well as tables. They...have a variety of food, from very good soups to excellent salads or a regular meal. The desserts are also delicious. The bar is aldo nice.More

Very, very nice cosy place to have a drink, have something to eat, or be there reading a book or a paper. Friendly people, nice decoration, one of my favourite places in Beyoglu.

A really low key place. Beautiful decor, and great atmosphere. Whenever we stop for coffee there is always a good crowd, but it never seems anything but relaxed and somehow "cool". Food is good, and try the couch near the front windows. Pretty close to...top of my favourite coffee spots.More

Right off of Istiklal Street this cafe is very lovely with a soothing ambiance. We went there for a late dinner and it was a welcome respite from Istiklal, which was becoming a crush. Everything on the menu is very reasonable. I'd wanted to have...a pide while in town and I really enjoyed theirs...with melted cheese and sirloin steak. They had a nice wine and beer selection. The coffee was excellent. I'd highly recommend stopping in at any point in the day. The menu really covers all the bases from lunch to dinner to snacking while doing some reading or work.More

We had lunch - The salmon was really good and the vegetables prepared to perfection. Reason we didn't give five point: bread was old and dry and the atmosphere was a little cold.

Simdi (which means “Now”) is an up-market cafe located at the upper end of Asmali Mescit Sok., near the junction with Istiklal Street. The sign is a clock on the façade with “Simdi” on it. The front section, in which the bar is also located,...has low, comfortable, upholstered seats as well as a large wooden table and is the more popular section for clients to sit. The narrower rear section incorporates what was originally an open six-storey courtyard into the restaurant space and is furnished with conventional tables and chairs. Unlike many buildings in Beyoglu used for commercial purposes, the building has never been concretised, so the single-story spaces are roofed with exposed brick jack-arches and it is floored throughout with reproduction cement encaustic tiles in a trompe-l'oeil dazzle pattern. The menu includes a range of Turkish and international dishes and there are specials listed on the blackboard. There is a wide range of cocktails on offer, as well as the normal beer and hot drinks. As it is more expensive than ordinary cafes, it is seldom completely full and I use it when I want to work with my laptop and use the free WIFI, as there are many sockets where it can be plugged in, and also for business meetings. However, if you just want to go and relax in a bourgeois environment, Simdi could be the place for you.More
