Such a lovely meal at Picante! Mexican was just what I felt like, and great service and experience too. Had the guacamole to start, really good thin and freshly made corn chips. Then had the vege burrito, packed with lots of goodies and a great size for dinner (having shared a starter). My partner was not as hungry and had... More

We had an amazing experience eating there. Great vibes and food. We definitely recommend the enchiladas, they are really authentic and the burritos!

I'm sure Istanbul is about as far as you can get form Mexico but the chef certainly knew how to cook the food. We ordered a chicken burrito, beef enchilada and vegetable enchilada. The food took a little time to arrive but it was well worth the wait. It had clearly been made from scratch unlike the many formulaic Mexican... More

Friendly staff. But, Sour cream was just yoghurt. Nachos are worse than doritos. And the prices are way too high for mexican fast food.

We walked around a bit trying to find the restaurant as its on one of the inner streets (and a few of the shop owners didn't really know what we were looking for). But the extra minutes walking around were so worth it! The staff were so friendly, and the mexican food was delicious! They had a good choice of... More

I've been to this restaurant twice and the food has always been wonderful. It is a little on the pricy side but you get what you pay for. The first time I went to this restaurant was with friends and we ate a wonderful meal. There were protests and tear gas everywhere so we found this place to try and... More

Living in Istanbul for the year and decided I wasn't going to survive without good Mexican. Checked trip advisor and this was the first place to pop up. Staff is always super Friendly and attentive. I recommended the margaritas , guacamole and fajitas. I'm sure I'll try the whole menu eventually ! Definitely worth a try.

We showed up right when the restaurant opened and the owner was so kind and inviting. We ordered chimichangas, enchiladas and margaritas and it was amazing! Go here. You won't be disappointed.

The tacos are excellent and the drinks cold and crisp! My friends and I enjoyed a feast of Mexican favorites--including nachos, pico de gallo and salsas. The margaritas were especially refreshing on a hot Istanbul night. Food is made fresh and is very tasty.

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
