Every spot in Turkey has rich history and that's why I went and visit Pierre Loti. Located in Eyup, district of Fatih on European side of Bosphrous, Istanbul. Go to the tea house. It has a perfect view of Golden Horn from Eyup to Eminonu....I was fascinated with the view and for me it is one of best scenic/historic spots in Istanbul - a must visit and explore. Go and climb upward the special hill that includes a huge old historic graveyard in the south slopes. Within that graveyard, you can find the tomb of of many famous pashas, sultans and authors too. I did not use teleferik going up. It is like an exercise for me and I really enjoyed it. Again, sip a Turkish tea in the cafe, eat some corn or potato and buy some souvenirs nearby. Fresh air, fantastic view and experience Turkish hospitality. See you soon Pierre Loti.More

Since there was only one day in Istanbul, we decided that any macro view of Istanbul would be great. The queue at the cable car was long but the beautiful tiles on display were good distraction. The ride was short and sweet with various sips...of turkish tea. The panoramic view of Istanbul from above was amazing and breath taking. The tiles and gifts on sales were reasonable too. On the whole, we had a great time.More

Due to the Ramadan not too many places were open for a lunch. It has classical menu, the food was quite OK (nothing special), but service was slow. Too many cats were around.

There is a road goes to the top of hill. It is a cemetery but has a good view to Istanbul. If you want to visit a typical religious place it can be a good Choice.

well this place was on my istanbul bucket list from the startl, it was very crowded that afternoon and we waited a while to get a table right at the edge, and we got the best one, right in the mid range, and god, it...was beautiful... the view made the kahve and tea after that just more delicious...More

My wife and I thought the views of the city of Istanbul were stunning. Far better than from the Galata Tower. And free. We were blessed with great weather for the time of year (April) and just enjoyed the lovely atmosphere over a Turkish coffee...or two. Recommended.More
