Istanbul has many good ( and cheap!) restaurants but very ( very) few that serve true, tasty, authentic Chinese dishes. I am happy to report that Cin Bufe, located next to Galatassary school, just off the Istiklal near Taksim is one of them. Beef, chicken, duck, shrimp and vegetarian entrees aplenty, and plenty good. I had the Kung Pao Beef,... More

That was dingy, clean, delicious with good staffs. i was in Istanbul for 21 day and almost 17 days I went to this restaurant for lunch. Most of the time I have California roll and chicken and vegetable noodle (noodle was best part ! ) .

Eating in Istanbul for few days i decided to change the food type a little bit. I visited Cin Bufe and i really liked it, took sweet and sour chicken, and kung pow beef, and fried rice with eggs, i really like it. The Service was so-so, we ordered cokes, then the guy ended up being distracted by a game... More

Craving of sushi while in Turkey, I've found cheap-eat restaurant via tripadvisor :-) The sushi is not really with sushi-taste but it is okay. My friend enjoyed chicken noodle and it is also fine. The vegetarian spring roll is good. Location is around Taksim and very easy to find although we were mistaken by the Turkish restaurant just beside the... More

We had dinner here two times during are last trip to Istanbul since it was located very close to our apartment. The food was good at decent prices, and even though the service could have been better I would recomend a visit.

Having eaten a lot of Chinese food all over the world, including most of the major cities in Europe, this is the worst Chinese food I have had so far. Even the fried rice was uneatable! Maybe the Suzi is better...

we don't have too many Chinees restaurants in Istanbul. Çin büfe is one of the good one. Small but nice place to eat. It has easy access from İstiklal Street. noodles are great and also I like fried icecream.

The food is not that great to be honest but it's nice to be able to eat different cuisine for a change as there are relatively few 'foreign' restaurants here. The interior decor is very nice as well. I can't remember exactly what we had but the nicest dish was the spicy beef with peanuts. Prices are normal (about 70... More

Coming from a city with myriad East Asian Restaurants, we were pleasantly surprised to find this gem of a restaurant just off the hubbub and uninteresting food choices of Istiklal. Quiet restaurant with fresh tasty essentially Cantonese food at a reasonable price. 75 TL for 2 people + tip.

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
