Unfortunately that place is under death agony. Almost for 25 years I visit here and sad to see that almost nothing good is left from food to service quality. My last visit is today and 3 of my orders are cancelled bcs the products are...not available...More

The refined, elegant ambience of this appealing cafe envelopes you as you cross over the threshold. Simply put it, against the backdrop of Güler’s superb masterpieces, it is a wonderful place to hang out in and watch the comings and goings. Then there is the...inviting menu. At mid morning, Menemen was a no brainer and it didn’t disappoint- it was absolutely delicious! And in the city of Menemen, that is quite saying something! A thoroughly enjoyable experience.More

Very cozy environment and nice decorated place. It's in a difficult street to find because its in a narrow street and can not been seen easily but if you find it for sure you are gonna enjoy it. I tasted pumkin puree with tahini ice...cream and traditional turkish coffee and it was very good. I think it has a very different style from the other cafe of istiklal street and that is the best part of it. I mean is not that touristic place and that works fine for me! Totally recommend it!!More

This restaurant is a bit tucked away from the main high street. It has a trendy vibe and easy menu. We tried manti (Turkish dumplings) which were tasty and a good sized portion. The cafe loses a star because the waiters didn’t seem very attentive...or bothered about us - the only waiters to treat us coldly during our whole holiday!More

The juice is fresh and nice. But it stops here. I got food poisoning from eating pasta in this place couple of days ago. I ordered pasta with cream and salmon. The texture was not really appealing but I put it down to maybe the...dish being warmed up in the microwave. Had I known I would have sent it back. I was sick the same evening.More

This cafe is busy but has a great vibe and decor. The food was really good too - we had fresh juice and salad for lunch, very fresh and tasty. Good service!

The place was owned and named after world famous photographer Ara Guler who passed away last year. The food quality is alwaya good. Decorated with Ara Guler’s Istanbul photos it’s a hidden gem in a lityle alley just a couple steps away from Istiklal Caddesi...and Galatasaray High School. Locals and expats knows this play well but tourists usually miss it.More

Went here for lunch and the ambience was excellent. We sat outside to soak up some sun. Ordered a chicken and a salmon main course. Cooked just right and tasted excellent. Location is excellent as it is just off Istiklal street. Highly recommend this place.

Ara Cafe belonged to the famous photographer Ara Guler who died recently. Its central location, slightly off Istiklal Street make it a popular gathering place. You can have a drink or a meal here. There is both inside and outside seating. It is always crowded...and difficult to find a table.More
