Wonderful Anatolian kitchen. Go to this place if you want to eat Turkish cuisine and go pass the kofte and kebaps. Had lamb with beans, artichoke with lamb and baked rice with chicken. Excellent desserts - try candied eggplants or tomato! Understand, that they change...menu frequently. Very friendly and nice service. Place was full during work day lunch. Prices good in comparison to European side of Bosphorus, but still ok for Asian side. Especially taking into account very high quality of food.More

Amazing traditional well cooked food . That’s the perfect restaurant for traditional sharing food . Go there if you tired of Kebap again and again and want to try traditional Turkish cuisine . This was by far the most favourite place we had food in...Istanbul . Friendly and accommodating stuff too, reasonable pricesMore

One of the worst restaurant experiences in my life. I will not recommend this restaurant to any of my friends. First we walked to the original restaurant where we were told that they are sold out, but their restaurant in front is the same and...they have the same dishes. They were sold out as well, but we finally made the order. The expectations were high because of the previous promo on Netflix and on the internet. What we received was the completely unattentive staff, who bring us dry meat, we asked for some yoghourt sauce 3 times, but unsuccessfully. We asked also for a pita bread which we did not get at all. The restaurant was closing and all the staff was caring about cleaning and finishing their work, they did not care at all about their customers. They are destroying the reputation on which the owner had been working for years. I am a frequent gourmet traveller and honestly, this choice was one of the worst during my travels.More

Avoid this establishment. We had lunch here March 26. The lamb stew gave me food poisoning. I was as sick as a dog for a day afterwards. And I typically have an “iron stomach.” Some of the lamb pieces tasted funny. I should have followed...my instincts and avoided it. But I thought it was simply a local style and suffered greatly as a result. Shame on the cooks. They had to have known the lamb was suspect.More

A place that lives up to its reputation, amazing kebap! It's a bit pricey, but the food is really good. Would recommend it

The food was great as well as service. We appriciated explanations and help from our waiter with choosing our dishes. This is go to place if you wish to try typical local food.

This place was recommended by a tour guide as it serves authentic Turkish food. I subsequently discovered that it has been featured on a Netflix show. I was told which table to sit at by the hostess at the door. As I approached the table,...a waiter who was standing nearby stared /glared at me without saying anything as if I had committed a crime by walking to a table! I told him that the lady at the front door told me where to sit to which he said nothing but continued looking miserably at me. Perhaps he didn't speak English but I have never been treated with such disdain in a restaurant anywhere in the world. Even if he could not speak English, he should have gestured a welcome at the very least. His behaviour was at odds with staff at all of the other restaurants I visited in (the European side of) Istanbul. I had to flag down a waiter twice for my order to be taken. At no point was I made aware of the self service salad bar or asked what I would like to drink. I only became aware of the salad bar when I noted the diners at the table next to mine bringing salad/meze to their table themselves. There was a sealed bottle of water on the table so I just had that to drink. I ordered a starter lentil soup and main course of falafel. Only 2 falafel were served. I then called over a waiter to ask why I was served only 2 falafel when I ordered a main course. He said that they ran out and 2 was all they had left! How does a restaurant in a predominantly Muslim country run out of food during Ramadan when many diners have not eaten the whole day?? I was told that the main course of falafel is supposed to have 4 pieces. That is a small portion for a main course especially considering that it is served without accompaniments with the price not being reflective of this. The soup came with standard bread, yet I saw freshly baked Turkish bread being taken out of the kitchen. The soup and falafel were OK and nothing to rave about. There are far better Turkish restaurants in Istanbul (European side) with wonderful friendly service. I would definitely not recommend this awful place. The fame has clearly gone to their heads. When the bill came I had to ensure that I was only charged for 2 falafel. I also noted that I was charged for the water that was on the table! All in all, a terrible experience for my last night in Istanbul.More

The hotel manager recommended that we should explore the Asia part of Turkey in the neighborhood of Kadikoy. And that this restaurant is a “must try” as they prepared authentic Turkish cuisine with freshly minted ingredients daily. You will not missed the shop as it...is the most patronized one in the entire enclave and have several shops close by one another. We ordered a few dishes as the portions are relatively small. They do taste very unique and surprises us. Highly recommended if you are visiting this area. It is also a very lively and hip neighborhood with lots of shops and boutiques. From where we were staying at the Galata area , we can easily catch a ferry across the Bosphorus Straits to reach Kadikoy.More

We had an aubergine kebab each but tried different types. Each was tasty but we preferred the one with sauce. Good value and great to eat on the Asian side of the city.

The food is delicious but very expensive consedering the standard there. Have in mind they charge you for the water that is already on the table. One full plate cost around 300 TL.

The food was OK, however the restaurant was too busy. There is not enough space to accommodate all the people. The restrooms are not clean and the air conditioning does not work properly.

The menu is quite confusing because there is a kebab menu, another menu and then a “self service” salad bar where you say what you’d like and then they weigh your plate. It was recommended to us by Turkish colleagues. The food was delicious but...it was hard to understand what you needed to do and how to order. Would recommend, seemed very traditional and lots of locals there, which is always a good signMore

Sorry - I haven't thought about that because I don't eat meat. Turkish food is awesome and has lots of options for vegetarians.
