I stop by this restaurant everytime I visit Istanbul. Everytime I enjoy the food with same taste and same quality. Only downside is the price but it's totally worth it!!

Ciya Sofrasi is one of the best restaurants on the Asian sie of Istanbul to taste original Turkish cuisine and deserts. If you are at Kadıkoy you must visit this restaurant.

The smell when you walk in alone is worth the trip across the Bosphorus to eat here. Fantastic meal in simple surroundings for a laughably small amount of money. Don't miss it.

We had a lovely meal here, including a selection of good vegetarian and gluten free choices. More interesting menu than a lot of local restaurants in Istanbul.... and they served delicious falafel, the first time we have seen this on the menu in a Turkish restaurant. Food could have been warmer, but delicious nevertheless.

The review don't exaggerate, the mezze is superb and the grills are first rate. Having found it, we returned several times as the mezze and mains/locanta dishes changed frequently.ALL were excellent. Many of the mezze dishes we hadn't experienced anywhere else. Very helpful and pleasant staff and very reasonable prices. And we love Kadikoy - many guides say the Asian... More

I visit Istanbul every year, and every time i have a meal at Ciya Sofrasi. Ciya is always full of guests and I fully understand why. Every year I see more and more tourists also making their way to Ciya, which used to be the hidden gem of the Kadikoy food scene! This is one of the few places where... More

Kadikoy (the ancient Chalcedon) is often missed by visitors to Istanbul. It's a short ferry trip and the market and many restaurants make it a more relaxed and less busy place than the city. The Ciya Restaurant specialises in traditional Turkish food, based on carefully researched recipes.

In five days we ate here twice, once for lunch which was so good we decided to return for dinner the next day. Waiters (they are all men) were very friendly and helpful. At lunch we had mezze plates you choose yourself from the buffet plus a small pide, bread and water. The food was fresh, good quality and a... More
