This is one of the most well-known home cook-style traditional Turkish, Middle Eastern, and Kurdish restaurants in Istanbul and I saw the chef in a Netflix show. It is located on the Asian side of Istanbul and it takes about 30 - 45 minutes to...reach there, 20 minutes ferry ride from Eminonu and 10 minutes walk. The restaurant offers a great variety of appetizers, kebabs, and traditional seasonal dishes. We had a spicy kebab, sour cherry meatball, artichoke, hummus, thyme salad, eggplant casserole, and couscous, all taste natural and yummy.More

This is the best place to taste all traditional Turkish dishes, they serve small portions so you can try just about everything. It was not on our list but we sure were happy to have found it and added to our list of top restaurants...to enjoy. The waiter was very nice and quick, he was very helpful with selecting the dishes then all we had to do was to sit down and he brought everything to our table. Definitely an excellent lunch experience at Çiya Sofrası Restaurant in Kadıköy. I even did a video of this restaurant in youtube.More

Located on the Asian side of the city, Ciya offers traditional Turkish recipes and a wide selection of dishes from all around the country, the food is both very interesting and very tasty, and its clear that a lot of effort and thought has gone...into this place, the pricing is incredibly good given that this is one of the most sought after restaurants in Istanbul, its definitely somewhere you should try.More

Highly recommended place to try typical Turkish food at a very good price. The staff was very friendly. I would repeat without a doubt.

We went to the Asia side of Istanbul and came across this Ciya Sofrasi restaurant. It was very busy but they put a table for us outside. We ordered small portions of the traditional items they have inside as well as some kebabs. Food was...very tasty and the service was there to match it. Would go there again.More

Yes, I agree, there are a lot of places with excellent kebabs in Istanbul, but for us the food they serve here was absolutely flawless. The kebabs were juicy and full of flavor, we also tried some mushroom dish from their traditional menu and it...was great as well. I wouldn’t say it is overpriced, though, sure, you will be able to eat cheaper in Kadikoy, but in terms of the consistency and taste they are perfect. Please do not expect it to be a Michelin star restaurant just because their Chef was featured on Netflix, this place just makes a very high quality and tasty food. I hope you will enjoyed it just as we didMore

Excellent choice for both vegetarians and meat eaters! Huge variety of cold and hot starters, really traditional and authentic food, tastes like home made, tasty kebabs and breads, unusual deserts and great service! They don’t serve alcohol though - but a great place to try...some really authentic dishes!More

The place is totally overrated! Kebabs are average. You can find better places all around istanbul. Waiters and other personnels are friendly but nothing more.

I visited three restaurants with this name on the same street. I would like to say that the menu, the quality of the food and the service are equally good in all three restaurants. Inside of the restaurant is quiet compared to the tables on...the street. All procedures to prevent covid -19 are implemented well. Everything I ordered was delicious.More

Sorry - I haven't thought about that because I don't eat meat. Turkish food is awesome and has lots of options for vegetarians.
