We travelled to Istanbul after 2.5 weeks in SE Asia, where we had some of the best seafood, fresh fish, etc. that we've had in a while. We also ate at Gaggan, which was rated the #1 restaurant in all of Asia. The meal we had at Fener was better than it all. The fish was incredibly fresh and impeccably... More

Our hotel recommended us to this restaurant for seafood. There was pickup service from the hotel to the restaurant. For starters we had anchovies, dolmades and mussel salad. Our personal favourite was the anchovies which they pickled themselves. For entrées, we chose the grilled Sea Bream and a fish stew. When the Sea Bream arrived, it had complimentary fried anchovies... More

We went based on these reviews and were so disappointed. Maybe this is a place for lunch and not supper as that what it seems a lot of people had eaten here. It was an utterly horrific experience, overpriced and we were the only people there. We waited around 90 minutes for our food to arrive, which included 2 whole... More

I suppose if you're going to specialize in seafood, you'd better do it right and Fener delivered 100%. Not only were our fish dinners cooked to perfection (we had the sea bass and sea bream), but the service was excellent as well. A bottle of wine was a bit more than we expected to pay, especially in comparison to everything... More
