Very friendly staff! Nice view over the Marmara Sea and small Ayasofya mosque. The food was very good and Mr. M offered good turkish and apple tea!

We enjoyed drinks on the terrace one evening then returned for lunch the following day. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The view was lovely and the food was great. I recommend the chicken pitta and lamb skewers. All the food looked good. The house wine was also very nice and everything was reasonably priced. The staff even gave us... More

2 meals here, as it is beside my hotel, friendly staff (Mr. M, and others) so accommodating, and good food. I had a veggie hot pot, and beers, and enjoyed relaxing, watching passers-by, and the rroftop sea view.

We tried this as it looked nice from the outside and was near our hotel; big mistake. The service was slow, the food when it came was cold and bland. The staff whilst trying to be jovial didn't come across as genuine. Beware they add a service charge to the bill!

We've spent a great afternoon here. After a busy few days, we had an afternoon to walk around and relax. We stumbled across Kosk2, and were seduced by free wifi. The terrace upstairs is lovely, the staff friendly with great English and lots of jokes, the food is tasty and filling. It's not the cheapest place to eat, but the... More

I ate at Kosk2 last night, and enjoyed wonderful views over the Bosphorus and a great sunset. The service was attentive and very efficient without being oppressive, and the food was delicious!

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
