The cocktails cost a wicked 38 each (12 euros) and up, and taste immature (e.g. like grapefruit juice). Very disappointing. Go to Geyik for instance for much better and innovative mixes + friendlier service and prices.

A friend recommended this place. And on the first glance, it was really nice. Deep house / techno music and people outside the bar talking, laughing and having a good time. And also, the interior looked nice. But the shocking moment was when I ordered two gin & tonics. 2 G&T's which were served with beefeater gin and Schweppes tonic... More

And for those simple pleasures this was a great spot. Hidden in the backstreets this is a little pleasure of a bar that we stopped at on the Saturday night. Just a simple beer and gin & tonic were well-served. There's a nice vibe too with people casually sitting outside chatting in mid-Feb. Great fun.

I went there for a breakfast with my friend. The behaviour of the staff was careless. We ordered poched egg and omelet. The omelet was burned and brown. The poched egg was undercooked. It was really dissapointed by comparing their prices. Although their location, music and decoration are nice, it is not worth to go there when there are lots... More

Visiting the place for coffee, we stayed really satisfied. The prices were normal, the service helpful and the coffees tasty. The environment is very nice and the decor offers an interesting ambience

The second two times were for breakfast, the first time my partner and I ordered eggs and the muesli which was both delicious washing it down w a bloody mary of corse! However we spyed everyone else ordering the Turkish... More

Even though I had one of the best Risotto in town here, the bartenders are very snobbish. It is very hard to get their attention and once you do, they act as if you're asking them to give drinks for free. Plus, they barely put alcohol in their overpriced cocktails. Spend your money elsewhere..

We went here for brunch on a weekend. The place was full with a hip young crowd. Vintage music played in the backround. The food was really good. Only issue was that we paid 60ytl for two brunches with tea. This is easily double what you'd expect to pay in other comparable places. If this place was a bit cheaper... More

Staying in Karakoy

Neighborhood Profile
Sitting pretty with an age-old air about it, Karakoy is situated on the European side of the Bosphorus at the mouth of the Golden Horn. Perhaps the city’s most historically significant area, it’s currently one of the most happening parts of town as well. Here street vendors and alfresco fish restaurants line the banks of the Horn where the views of major attractions across the water rival Karakoy’s own key attractions, such as the iconic 14th century Galata Tower and the Museum of Modern Art. A major hub for local and international waterborne traffic, Istanbul’s commercial and maritime heritage remains as relevant and evident as ever in Karakoy. Commuter ferries mingle with luxury cruise liners at its busy port, ensuring a continuously cosmopolitan flow of people..
