Close to main attractions of Istanbul, but in small lonely lane. Very relaxed atmosphere and tasty local meals.
Prices are quite high - mail meal, desert and tea cost 1000 TLR (3/24). No alcohol, no Hookah. Main meal was one of the cheaper in this restaurant (no steak, no fish).

We were quite lucky so far in Istanbul that we hadn’t been scammed with our meals but day 4 and we ate here.
The owner was friendly & there was a lovely cat that belonged to the cafe. We were really surprised when our meal came to £60 as we ordered x2 soft drinks, a coffee, a kebab for two and baklava. We couldn’t understand why it had come to this much and then checked the receipt to see £22 was added on for a basket of bread that we didn’t order. We paid but felt ripped off.
It’s a shame that this happens in Istanbul as the cafe may make more money from customers in the short-term but long-term people will stay clear. It always pays to be honest.

Hi dear guest. This is harabbe cafe . Firstly is this experience of Harabbe cafe ? Our all prices are on the menu and we don’t have any extra charged.
Kebab for two - 2700tl, baklava -295, two soft drink-250, coffe-150 , totally your payment 3395turkish lira rade to sterlin about 77£. So how do you thinking we cheated you . We couldn’t understand what are you meaning with basket of bread . Because we don’t charge for bread and we don’t have any service charge too !!! How possible we can charge you more . You can see our recintly price on our we side and you can calculate by yourself. We are not kind of place as you mean . We are waiting your feedback asap !!! Keep in touch with us as soon as about this misunderstanding .

I had an amazing time at Harab'be Cafe during my visit to Istanbul! The ambiance and decor were incredibly cozy, creating a perfect setting for relaxation. The vibe was warm, and the staff, especially Ramazan and his team, were extremely accommodating and attentive. The shisha was top-notch, and the food was delicious—definitely worth every penny! Special mention to Osman, the sweet cat, who added an extra charm to the experience. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food, excellent shisha, and a welcoming atmosphere in Istanbul!

Cafe is just next to the Sultanahmet tram station.
Great Ambeince with colorful walls, hanging lights and plants.
Good is great no doubt and service too.
They do serve shishas with numerous options you can choose from standard flavor, real fruit and alcohol ones.

I created a trip advisor account just so that I could write a review for this place. We can not recommend this place highly enough if you’re looking for a cafe/shisha. Like a lot of people, our hotel was in Sultanahmet. This place is placed within a minute’s walk from Hagia Sophia and is very easy to find.
The shisha is excellent. We were recommended Turkish flavours which was of high quality and lasted a long time. We felt bad leaving after a couple of hours because it was still smoking so well.
We don’t drink alcohol and there was a huge selection of both hot and cold drinks available. We recommend the lemonade and the Turkish tea here.
The WiFi is very good. I had a 4 hour zoom meeting on one of our days here and they were very accommodating for this, and the WiFi did not disappoint.
The decor is fantastic for what initially seems like a small cafe. There are a lot of seats in the hidden cul de sac with comfortable chairs. We enjoyed sitting on the Turkish floor cushions and the decor outside was excellent. The seats inside are also great, and they have clean toilet facilities.
The staff are what makes this place though. Very friendly, and they take their time to get to know you. No one is trying to oversell things, or to tell you to go to their friends’ shops. They take great pride in their business and it’s why during the week we were here, this place was full of all regular tourists who loved this places just as much as we did.
The prices are far below what I would be happy paying in the UK. I could have had two shishas and 6 drinks here and paid less than what I would pay for two people in the UK.
P.s. they have backgammon boards here, and we also played cards.

I went to this place 2 times and both times were excellent. You have indoor & outdoor seating ( I opted for outdoor to enjoy the air and atmosphere a bit more, even though this place is hidden )
I wish I could remember the guys name who helped us both times, what I can say is, he had a 5 o'clock shadow of a beard and has been at this place for awhile. He was super friendly and served & remembered us the 2nd time we went.
This is more of a friendly gathering place or couples or even solo, this is not for a family really.

Kadir attended us excellent, the abundant food, music and atmosphere made us feel like in the loving room at home. The closure with narguile was the most (and the baklava very rich) until the tea was richer than elsewhere! Thanks guys!

We had a great evening/night in Harab'be Cafe with my friends. Food were tasty, coctails were strong and waterpipes were enjoyable. I would like to say thank you Adbullah who is a very friendly and excellent host. If I travel to Istanbul in next time, I will visit again Harab'be Cafe.

Cool and relaxing place near Agyasofia and Sultanahmet. Absolutely not a touristic one.
Cool design inside and outside. You can sit, drink whatever you want and, of course, smoke great shisha.
All the guys are very kind and gentle, ask them for every advise about the flavours, for sure they suggest you a good one.
The perfect place to spend good time after a dinner.
Hope to come back soon!

We absolutely loved the place.
For food we had black plum stew🍲 and kebab with garlic🧄 and dessert - San Sebastian cheesecake (better to ask without chocolate topping on it, you could try an original taste). All food was delicious.
Hookah, non and alco drinks were also pretty good.
We also had a complimentary fruit 🍓 plate.
Thanks to Ramazan and atmosphere of the place for happy memories.

Great shisha and conversation with the owner and staff. They were super accommodating and recommended really good flavors. My friend and I came here every night for 4 nights we were in Istanbul. I would recommend getting the Adalya Berlin Nights or Love 66 shisha flavors, very unique and fresh!
Will definitely come back here next time I'm in Turkey!

I was in need of a place to sit and chill and to rest my weary legs after wandering the hilly streets of Istanbul. I saw the sign for this place and it was down a groovy little alleyway so I ventured down. Found a very comfortable little casual place with people partaking in shisha, a few with beers so I sat down myself. The atmosphere was so friendly and warm that I stayed for two beers and to take some photos of the funky interior.
I found myself in need of a rest the next day and made sure that I timed it with being close enough to Harab'be to come back! Same atmosphere the next afternoon, only a little quieter, so I was able to wander freely and shoot some pics... Didn't try the food although the menu was extensive and the food I saw being delivered looked fantastic and the people eating sure seemed to be enjoying it! Highly recommended for ANY kind of visit...food, drinks, shisha, or just chill with any of those options!
