I invited my friends to have some coffee just after hanging in beşiktaş.... We just dived in because it is written "cup third wave coffee shop" on.... We thought that it is a part of corvus serves coffee, as it is written "coffee" on the window ... i guess they are one... we ordered some coffee but waiter told us... More

Having travelled to Istanbul many times it was a joy to find this restaurant. Food was good, presentation superb and staff very friendly. I had the fillet steak which was lovely, my husband enjoyed the veal stew and from a chef who knows his food this is a big compliment! Dont expect large portions. Prices were reasonable and wine good.... More

We came here on our last night in Istanbul as it was raining and the restaurant was close to our hotel. The wine was excellent (and cheap) - we got a bottle of the house red but also tasted the white and it was jut as good. My boyfriend and I shared the salted meat and cheese board which was... More

If based on the food alone, Corvus would get 3 or 4 stars. But it is everything else, especially given this a wine bar, not a restaurant per say, that ensures it gets 5 out of 5 for me. For me this is a great inexpensive choice. A bottle and half of their own superb white wine, plus pasta (not... More

I enjoyed dinner here with friends. We were seated outside and enjoyed the wines and small plates. The purslane salad and risotto with Jerusalem Artichokes were delicious!

When you receive your place mat, you can read the story of the crow (Corvus) behind the vineyards that produce the Corvus wine offerings. We found the house wine to be a perfectly good wine to accompany our meal but there are many fine offerings. We had the grilled artichoke, shrimp and beef carpaccio as appetizers which were all very... More

In a lively spot near the W lies the Bite Bistro. Serving the wonderful wines of Corvus winery (try the blends) and the chef's creative dishes. Small bites or large portions. All great.

i really liked this restaurant the first time i was there for the quality of food, coffee and ambiance. I soon went back with friends, but unfortunately was very unpleasantly surprised and today have decided never to go back. Last time the cutlery was not very clean, i asked the waitress for a replacement, but she gave me back the... More

Upscale but relaxed wine bar with fresh food. Wide selection of quality Corvus wines (you can even buy them buy the bottle to go). Great selections on the menu, from small bites and appetizers to share, to larger meat and pasta dishes. Recommend the lemony pasta with capers - simple but so fresh and delicious. Also had the mozzarella tower... More

Very nice wine bar/restaurant in Istanbul. Food and service were both good. We tried it our first night in Istanbul when we were tired from travel and just wanted a quick dinner. It exceeded our expectations for a quick neighborhood meal.

Staying in Besiktas

Neighborhood Profile
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighborhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.
