Planned a visit for the breakfast given the high reviews.. bought rice pudding to take away from them the evening before as it was close by our hotel. Tasted fine but freshness questionable?! very suspiciously green like mould circle I had to remove upon opening...More

Who would have thought buffalo cream called kaymak (pronounced “Kiye-Mack”) and honey would taste so magical! This is not anything ordinary and a really neat food experience. The shop owner and the family have been doing this since 1915 so they are experts in the...More

I can't believe my luck when I found this place, it's just a few steps from Sishane metro exit. All i wanted was the kaymak. And it is one kaymak i will remember forever: super fresh and light. You do not even need honey with...More

The place offers very yummy buffalo cream and honey and some pudding selection (rice, oriental). The buffalo cream tastes like clotted cream very closely, rich yet refreshing. It’s also served with some bread. I also ordered a rice pudding. Very nice too.

I'm hooked to kaimak and the one I had at Karakoy Oszut is the purest I've ever tried. No wonder, as the owner of the restaurant also owns a water buffalo farm from where he gets the purest milk. And you can see he is...More

The owner is passionate about his product and so he should be. I had the buffalo sausage and scrambled eggs, then the buffalo clotted cream with honey. Both delicious and lovely to meet the producer of the product.

The cream apparently all comes from water buffalo dairy and the thickness and richness is unreal. The eggs cooked with sausages were excellent too.

We were lucky enough to stumble into this quaint restaurant for breakfast on our first morning in Istanbul. What a treat! Both my husband and I ordered the egg, tomato, sausage and cheese - a kind of egg scramble served in it's own pan. The...More

Sitting pretty with an age-old air about it, Karakoy
is situated on the European side of the Bosphorus at
the mouth of the Golden Horn. Perhaps the city’s most
historically significant area, it’s currently one of
the most happening parts of town as well. Here street
vendors and alfresco fish restaurants line the banks
of the Horn where the views of major attractions
across the water rival Karakoy’s own key attractions,
