A good, somehow authentic place to eat traditional Turkish cuisine. From meat to vegetables cooked deliciously offers a good taste. You may taste a variety of sherbets. Though the atmosphere is casual in some way, it is rather comfortable.

This was the 3rd visit to Gulen Osmanli Mutfagi and definitely the last.My wife order aubergine with beef and asked pilav (rice) but surprisingly not available, instead offered bulgur pilavi(wheat with tomato pure and butter). Both were served cold. My meal was a sucuk(Turkish pepperoni) and cheddar cheese pide(boat shape pizza) I hardly saw and tested any sucuk(Turkish pepperoni) in it.It was... More

We've been advice to visit this place by our friend. We definitely don't regret that we went. The owner Ali Guler made our visit more pleasant. He was incredible in talking about the ottoman food history and about the sherbet ( drinks made out by mixing different spices). The food is different every single day, same as the soup which... Besides Turkish pide, meatball and other special and delicious meal can be try. In addition to the dishes there is home made Ottoman Şerbets ( fruit and herbs juice ), these sertbets are very... This is the place if you want to taste a genuine traditional Turkish food. The restaurant is located in a not nice neighborhood in the Anatolian side but not far away from Kadikoy centre. The owner of the place is a perfect host and will explain in details how the food and the “serbets” (juices in the old traditional way)... More

I am from Istanbul and this is one of the few places where I can have a lunch without missing my home. The dishes in particular olive oil vegetable ones are truly authentic. The owner is always present with his while lab coat. It is a little bit off road and 10 min. walk from Kadikoy center, but if you... More

This cafe is on the Asian side of Istanbul and away from the Bosphorus. The people didn't speak English,a rarity for Istanbul, but were so kind and their coffee and pastries were fantastic. The best we had on either side. Astonishing low prices.

Being vegetarian here in Istanbul is not an easy thing. Many places offer you nothing or trying to "up-sell" you their food (We can make something for you...). So, you can imagine how I enjoyed it when my friends took me to this place. First of all, the atmosphere is very welcoming, old ceiling, old kitchen, friendly people. Really a... More
