I had to try the lentil soup here, recommended by many reviewers. It was just delicious. All we ate here was good, honest, real and tasty food.

This cheap and cheerful little restaurant serves really tasty food. I loved the menemen for breakfast! It's central and the service is friendly too. In fact I really loved this little place and would definitely recommend it.

The best restaurant we visit! Plenty of choices for meat lovers . It is not very far from the center. The food is great ( flavor and quality) and is very cheap. Go there...

Food taste amazing, probably the best food I had in Istabul. Small restaurant managed by turkish couple. Warm hospitality, and you'll feel like you eat home made food. The food looks exactly like in the menu pictures, or even better. Price is cheap for a portion and taste like that. Totally recommended! The restaurant is clean, location is just about... More

Nice tiny resturant close to the Blue Mosque (15 minutes walking). Tipical food, very very good. Really cheap.

Really nice little place close to Cuchuk Aya Sophia. Nothing pretentious: a few tables, no more than ten simple dishes on the menu but very good food for perfectly reasonable prices. It's only 10 minutes walk from the Hipodrome -Blue Mosque area, but you can eat better food here for not even half the price they ask in upper Sultanahmet.

Fantastic feed and super fresh. Friendly staff and very cheap compared with other nearby restaurants. 17TL was for mixed plate and most expensive thing on the menu. Was recommended by our hotel and it didn't dissppoint.

Just around the corner from us, small menu but delicious food, very good price, not fancy at all but friendly and timely service. Come here for the food, not for the decor or a fancy meal.

Tasty homemade food. We ate at the different places, but everywhere food was fatty and isn't tasty. But here we found really nice chicken wings, chicken salad and meat. If you wanna taste turkish homemade food, try this place.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
