Sardunya is a nice restaurant with very good food. The panorama is fantastic. Though the prices seem a little bit high similar restaurants have nearly the same prices.

Good food, fantastic ambiance however a bit expensive for lunch. Can be a good choice for both business and romantic evening but book a table. Try the sea bass on spinach.

We were there for a wedding.. We reached early before the sunset.. We enjoyed the view.. But it was raining heavily and the staff did not accept to allow the taxi to drop us at the door so we had to walk under the rain! The food was nice and the service was good..

We had dinner at this place based on the recommendation of a local friend. The menu is not extensive but the mix of (extensive cold and hot) mezzes, seafood & fish, and, meat should satisfy normal desires. The list of local Turkish wines is good and worth a try! The food was really well prepared - if you are not... More

I really like the seafood and the service of the restaurant. The Bosphorus view is remarkable in the restaurant. I advise to make a reservation before visiting it. Levrek marine is very nice meze

We spent an evening here to enjoy the view of the Bosphorus. And, of course, we chose fish for dinner. Personally, I think the restaurant is a little too polished to me. But that is of course a matter of taste. Very good fish. And a fin view. But not a place I would visit again

If you go to Tophane area yo must visit this nice place. We have visited in the first days of December. We have ordered hummus for appetizer. Then also ordered fried zucchini and calamary. We have also eaten borek with pastrami. We have eaten minekop (corb) fillet as main course. Except calamary everything was delicious. Calamary was fried too much... More

We were given a waterfront table with a beautiful view of the Bosphorus and the ships passing by. We ordered several different fresh fish entrees and all were pleased with their dinners. Others hat our table ordered lamb and enjoyed their meals as well. We were the only non Turks at Sardunya. If we had more time in Istanbul we... More

We were a group of 8 families that reserved Sardunya for lunch.we had taken most of the restaurant to ourselves. This restaurant has a very beautiful seafront location which is decorated by beautiful red flower plants. The appetizers or mezes were nicely decorated in a dish and were delicious. Most of us ordered grilled sea bass fish for main course. It... More

Staying in Karakoy

Neighborhood Profile
Karakoy
Sitting pretty with an age-old air about it, Karakoy is situated on the European side of the Bosphorus at the mouth of the Golden Horn. Perhaps the city’s most historically significant area, it’s currently one of the most happening parts of town as well. Here street vendors and alfresco fish restaurants line the banks of the Horn where the views of major attractions across the water rival Karakoy’s own key attractions, such as the iconic 14th century Galata Tower and the Museum of Modern Art. A major hub for local and international waterborne traffic, Istanbul’s commercial and maritime heritage remains as relevant and evident as ever in Karakoy. Commuter ferries mingle with luxury cruise liners at its busy port, ensuring a continuously cosmopolitan flow of people..
