Mainly wanted to eat on a terrace, but it was closed in the winter, they took me up top to see and should be terrific in summer, but look for another place if its winter and you're looking for a terrace.

Ate at Palmiye while visiting some of the main tourist attractions. We were very hungry and finally decided on Palmiye, it was very efficient and the food was actually very good. Definitely kind of commercialized but a great place to stop while visiting the blue mosque or aya sophia.

To bad to be true. A small portion like a kid's menu, cold food, absolutely horrible. A place really really to avoid

A place that charges 8 lira for an ice tea and 5 lira for one turkish tea and does not offer anything special for the price. The food is good, but a bit overpriced for what you get. The service is not great either.

We were at terrace and I think it is the best part of the restaurant. Stuff is nice and prices aren't bad, but the food is average. The have international cuisine, not just Turkish, so it can be good for someone who is tired of Turkish meals. Nothing special except to the view to hagia sofia.

We found this wonderful restaurant on our first night. Great location, friendly helpful and considerate staff, who made us feel as if we were really important guests. The food was delicious. Good value. We enjoyed it so much we came back on our last night and they remembered us. Highly recommended.

Visited this restaurant last night with a group of friends, the food was pretty rubbish to be honest. The hummus starter was tasteless and was no better than a supermarket value brand. The chips and rice were cold though the meat on the plate was warm, and none of it looked good quality. Also the food that was brought out... More

We enjoyed the food and friendly atmosphere. The staff were fun with no hassle. We could see the food being cooked which was excellent and tasty. The restaurant and kitchens were clean. We enjoyed it so much, we went back all three nights we stayed in Istanbul. Dr Kathy

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
