The Turkish coffee with complementary chocolate was especially good. The service was friendly and helpful and they even have WiFi!

Very well located, delicious cakes and pies. Turkish coffee and tea are excellent. Price is fair, cakes are cheaper than coffee and tea. Restroom in bad conditions

After a meal at a nearby restaurant we were walking back to our hotel when we passed the window of this establishment which was full of appetizing fare. We had to enter and ordered 3 cakes between 2 of us with a hot chocolate and a latte. Cakes were a chocolate banana eclair, a chocolate cherry cake and a tiramisu... More

We passed by this store front a couple of times and it caught my attention with all the great looking treats in the window. Before retiring one evening we stopped in and picked up an assortment of cookies, snacks and Turkish sweets. We grabbed the items to go, but we did notice they have seating at the back of the... My friend and i were travelling in sultanahmet and we saw here. It was the most triffic desert i have ever taste. You absolutly should visit here and taste cake with profiterol. You definitely won't regret. Its all homemade i guess. At least the taste of it does.

...and didn't plan on having any food. Then the menu arrived and we decided to have börek (with dill) and trileçe along our çai. Food was nice and the tea good too - glad we stepped into the right place here. I read a couple reviews before writing mine and noticed a fairly common pattern about finding this by coincidence!

You'll be spoilt for choice with the array of pastries, baklava and cakes. They provide a delicious range of teas. A locals' place close to the Sultanahmet actions and the tram. The savoury snacks looked very good too. We can recommend the Turkish Delight to take home.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
