We were just walking around the streets and this guy named Antonio just started talking to us and managed to convince us to try this place. I must say, was a very good decision. Awesome food, we tried the garlic butter shrimps and meat with...rice. Also had the fried ice cream which was beyond awesome. The standing out quality was the customer service and hospitality from the staff. Antonio, Francesco were beyond amazing. Shisha was awesome too.More

I came here for lunch with my husband and we were really impressed. He had lamb cooked in a terracotta pot and I had lamb stuffed aubergine. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. We are staying nearby so we came back again and had...the best steaks I have ever had! I had steak flambe’d in cognac and my husband had steak in Gorgonzola. The steak was cooked to perfection and so incredibly tender. I think maybe the best steak I’ve had! To start they bring flat bread, with olives, hummus and vegetable dip. The service is fast - possibly even too fast! The waiters are very friendly. Also this restaurant is located only 5 minutes from the Blue Mosque so an amazing location on a characterful cobbled street. In addition, the restaurant is built on top of an ancient palace - entry near the back of the restaurant; such a surprise! Highly recommended!More

This restaurant was a stone's throw from our hotel. We tried it our first night in Istanbul and went back 3 more times. The food was consistently good. Prices in Sultanahmet are higher the in the areas nearby but this restaurant was very good for...the price. Staff recognized us and we had good conversation. Very good service. Try the manta (lamb ravioli). Lentil soup was one of the best we tried in Istanbul. After your meal you can see the excavation that lies within the restaurant (it's pretty amazing).More

Our first night in Istanbul, we were late and looking for a place to eat. We were welcomed by the staff and the owner. He guided us on what the food was taste wise etc. We took his recommendations and ordered three plates, the food...was awesome. Then he showed us the historic place the hotel was built upon, an amazing night.More

Hands down the best food and best value in the neighborhood. Friendly staff and great ambiance with a diverse options on the menu that allows for multiple return visits, which is exactly what we did. Meals have healthy sides and prices are reasonable. An unexpected...bonus was gaining access to a partially excavated part on the Magnaura Palace of Byzantium through an entrance in the back of the restaurant. It is like having exclusive access to a museum inside a restaurant at no extra charge.More
