I've spoken with the owners of Hafiz Mustafa and understood their entire mission behind the brand from 1864. QUALITY is the most important thing for them.. And it's something you can simply taste in the food. I've even heard of a story that someone purchased their food products and took them to a lab to get it tested. The results?... More

Simply getting past the front window display, immaculately displaying every conceivable delight to tantilise your tastebuds was enough to blow my culinary expectations. When the waiter came round and asked me waht I wanted I had to bite my lip to prevent me from saying everything! I finally settle on rice pudding, a dessert that I sample all over the... More

A great place to go after your dinner and enjoy hot turkesh tea along with the favourite Bakalava. We had been in the night for deserts the staff was very good and friendly. Should try what staff recommends.

Hafiz Mustafa has branches all over Istanbul, best place to buy Baklava also desert. One can sit inside and order or one can take away. The prices ranges from 30 US $ per kg to 40 US $ per ka. Baklava can be kept for about 5 to 6 days. It should be kept at room temperature and not in... More

My fiancé and I stumbled upon this place by accident while walking home to our hotel. Despite the fact that it was almost 10pm, it was PACKED with locals. We figured it was worth at least a look. We enjoyed one of the best kunefes we'd had in Turkey! If you still have room in your stomach, try one of... More

Delicious deserts to eat in or take out, you're spoilt for choice and everything is top quality. I would highly recommend anyone to visit, even if only to browse the shop area.

Lovely place to have desserts, such as turkish delights etc. With some tea or coffee. Or just pick up sweets for your loved ones back home.

This cafe/shop truly is a master at their craft when baking Baklava. You can get it in all different varieties, chocolate, double chocolate, pistachio! Oh my, I could go on... I discovered this on the last day I was in Istanbul and was so sad, I bought a massive box to take home. It is truly the best. They also... More

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
