We love Turkish sweets, but the one at Hafiz are not only delicious but really beautiful. Try with Pomegranate jelly

My favorite place Hafiz Mustafa to enjoy with a cup of tea and Turkish delight in Istanbul. I’m always start on the baklawa, a sweet pastry made of layers of phyllo dough filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with honey and turkish coffee. On top of that, they were serving cakes, puddings, candies, and dried fruits like figs and nectarines.

I visited the restaurant twice in the week I was there and enjoyed it on both occasions. I also took away a load of locum ( Turkish delight) as gifts as the quality is unrivalled.

We had coffee and diamond shaped pistachio baklava here and afterwards bought nougat and baklava as gifts downstairs. The Sirkeci store is at the tram station and has seating upstairs above the shop.

This seemed to be a quality place, it has two floors - the ground floor where the food is located and from where you can grab take-away and the first floor where you can sit and eat. We ordered puddings but prices were quite high for our budget (over 3 Euros for a pudding). They were delicious mind you and... More

Who doesn't love turkish/arabic desserts won't love this cafe, it only serves desserts and coffees. It has alot of branches in popular areas, good prices, friendly staff.

One of the definitive dessert places in Istanbul, and the quality remains high. It's not cheap, but it is very good. The souvenir drinks are smart but not the main attraction - go for the desserts! The eat-in space is small, and downstairs is chilly, but you'll wolf the food down in no time anyway!

I would say if you don't visit Hafiz Mustafa then you've never been to Turkey. Offers delicious Baklava and Turkish sweets with the great Turkish tea. The ambience is very nice and staff is friendly

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
