About
Opened our doors in late June 2017, Mürver stands out for its kitchen where different fire cooking methods including live open fire and smoking are used. Its menu includes seasonal ingredients purchased from local Anatolian producers, more specifically, wood-oven cooked or wood-grilled dishes, slowly cooked BBQ dishes, smoked dishes, sustainable seafood, handmade dried and rested meat, Turkish spicy sujuks, and sausages, as well as many other dishes and mezes – which will also win the hearts of vegetarians. Mürver Restaurant is appealing to foodies from all ages with its different lunch and dinner options. But it has more to offer; it is also perfect for business meals, group meals, and celebrations.

I had the privelege to eat dinner here tonight. The food was truly wonderful. Flavorful, nicely plated, with great ambience. Service was great as well. This is a great 'special' place for dinner.

Get the yogurt with cucumber and mint to start along with the divine octopus; a perfectly balanced starter. The yoghurt serving is enough for 4-6 people. The octopus serves 2 or one seafood gourmand. Get the smoked lamb shoulder for two as the entree. Superb....We were too full for dessert, which was sad since the chocolate cherry option was appealing.More

Sitting across Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, watching the unique Bosphorus and Marmara, we sipped our cocktails expertly prepared by award winner Barmen Serhat. We told Serhat how we felt and what we like, he came back with just the right mix. Home...made infused drinks are must try. While enjoying our drinks at the bar, Metin came to help to choose the wine to prepare for dinner. With his vast knowledge and extremely polite approach he patiently educated us about different varieties. As a wine enthusiast, I really appreciated the rich menu of both local and world wines - while judging the menu, please remember there is serious taxation on alcohol here. We started with fried zucchini patties (mucver) , humus and octopus, shared lamb. All were excellent. Having enjoyed them so much we wanted to taste all tree deserts - we were two :) Recently, i started to lower my expectations for desert after great main dishes, however, all tree were even better then the other dishes. Throughout our lengthy dinner, Ata served our table patiently and informing us with every detail of each dish. Finished our dinner with coffee and calvados. Memorable night. And cost for this great location and excellent food and service is just fair.More

They have really unique cocktails that can be tried out. We tried three different ones; all cool. They do not have too many appetizer choices and main dish options; but whatever we tried they were all very delicious. Octopus, topik and calamari must. Amazing view...with nice music.More

That is incredible. ATA BEY gave us a...rundown of the today specials. The scenic view is beautiful and breathtaking period we will deafly come back here again and hopefully we will see our favourite waiters. The octopus and seabass was delicious and for desert I strongly recommend the chocolate chilli ice cream.More

Mürver has top views overlooking Old Istanbul and the Bosphorus. Great place to host business guests or have a special evening. The menu is divided mainly into seafood and meat. You may follow the seafood path from appetizers to main course and as starters opt...for the squid and octopus which are good, yet I hesitate to classify them in the ‘OMG’ category. On the other hand the sea bass was excellent, deliciously accompanied by cherry tomatoes and reminding one of a fish chowder, in fact. The dessert choices are limited to a few and not necessarily to die for. When we asked the reason our waiter replied that as they have also opened a branch in Bodrum they are short staffed hence have limited the choices. Interesting excuse. Make a reservation beforehand for sure. The restaurant is located on the roof of Novotel and has ample parking (also cheap compared to other places and valet parking). For those just fancying to take in the views there is also a bar section where you can mingle with friends. It is a rather expensive place taking into account a bottle of good local wine at an average of 350 TL will take a 1/3 - 1/4 of your bill. Hence I’m not very thrilled in the end (the starter portions were a bit on the small side) but it is worth the views and overall experience.More

Visited Mürver for dinner, couldn't be happier with the food, wine and service. Great local dishes and amazing wine list, especially local wines which have changed so much since the 90s, now the vineyards have strong European and American influences in viticulture and quality, resulting...in fantastic wines at, frankly, great value. Service was exemplary, especially Ata who very attentive and knowledgeable, spending all night making sure we had a great night. Can't recommend this place enough!More

I did read very good and bad reviews but we decied to make our own experience after our hotel definitly recommand this place and YESSSSS this wS JUST PERFECT. Fantastic food (really amazing and not that expensive !), Great cocktails, good wine recommandations and the...place...WAOOOWWW inside is just one of the beautifulest restaurant I saw (just a bit too dark in my tase) and outside... this is THE BEST PLACE OF ISTANBUL... view, position, ... unbelivable. Of course you can eat for 10 times less in a kebab restaurant in the street (and we loved theses too actualy) but you can't compare it with this place, this is just another level of experience and money totaly woth it.More
