We had the Kofte and the Lamb sheesh. Decent portions, but not exactly rich in flavour. I would have liked more seasoning, but that is personal taste. We needed the chilli sauce. All of that said, it was cooked very well. The meat was juicy and tender and not burnt. I would recommend it as a good place if your... More

Great taste. Excellent service. Nice location opposite blue mosque. Meatballs are worth trying. Very affordable prices.

Oh yum yum How many restaurants can you recount having only 2 main dishes. This is one such restaurant. Only 2 dishes on the menu. And done with perfection. The silver lining is the price. Basic. No nonsense. Forget ambience for once please and just savour the flavourful meats. Just don't forget this place when you visit. Oh and surprise... More

i really do not recommend it; we took kofte in bread; which are meat balls; but you have no taste in it; only the onions; its like eating an industrial plastic meat

The service was fast , if you are fond of lamb meat you will like it , limited menu options , it seems it's very popular with the locals.

Crowded and had to wait to be seated but worth the wait. Kofta, lamb kebab and rice pudding were great. While I prefer Adana kofta( kebab). This is a must try and the rice pudding is the best I or the kids have ever tried. Not too expensive and atmosphere is nothing exciting but this is what you expect from... More

Situated next to our Hotel, we had the meatballs and they were very good. Service was good and the price was reasonable, looked like quite a few local people eating there. We had lunch there. Worth eating there.

We queued to get into this place, which was recommended to us. It was worth the short wait! The Kofte were very succulent, we added some salad, fries and bread. Total was around 110TL or GBP 30 for 4 people - which was quite reasonable.

We had dinner here on a rainy day after our visit of the basilica cistern,as a family of 4. We had to wait for the waiter to take our order, although it was not overcrowded.... We had meatballs and beans salad, only one of us had a lentil soup and dessert. We paid 87.-, which I think was expensive for what... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
